    Campsites in Zeeland
Zeeland is made up of a number of provinces and islands in the westernmost part of the Netherlands, with large parts of the province existing below sea level. Drive your motorcycle through the scenic area and camp in Ard’s garden in Kwadendamme, or park your campervan near Jaap’s natural swimming pond on the polders of Zeeuws Vlaanderen, a stone’s throw from Belgium.

    Campsites in North Holland
In the province of North Holland you’ll find the cities Amsterdam and Haarlem, but also beautiful Dutch coastline. Guests can camp and ride horses along the beach at Hannie’s green property, which also serves as a horseriding school.

    Campsites in Limburg
Limburg is the southernmost province of the Netherlands, bordering Belgium and Germany. A popular province for hiking, as it is slightly less flat than the rest of the Netherlands. Popular walks and hikes take place on the Vaalserberg ‘mountain’, which stands at around 300m high and along the Meuse river. Stay for free at Juliet’s private beach in Siebengewald in exchange for simple physical jobs. Spend the night in Marcel’s quaint forest cabin in Koningsbosch, 300m from Germany!

    Campsites in North Brabant
Unlike its name suggests, this province is located in the south of the Netherlands  and is home to three major nature attractions: Biesbosch, Kempen and Peel. Pitch your tent or van at Campingpark Het in the Stempelberg forest area or enjoy magnificent views and privacy at Proefboerderij Karmijn.

    Campsites in Overijssel
On the border with Germany, this sandy province is home to the Weeribben-Wieden National Park wetlands and many important rivers including the Ijssel. Guests can embark on beautiful walking or cycling trips from Monique’s camping meadow in Welsum. If you’re in the mood for something a bit more adventurous, check out Teh Roderijk, where you can stay in a fully equipped treehouse!

    Campsites in Utrecht
Utrecht is located in the middle of the country and as such, is home to the Netherlands’ most busy train station. The Utrecht Hill Ridge (Utrechtse Heuvelrug in Dutch) is a vestige of glaciers that existed in this region during the Ice Age, which is now covered in pine trees. The Vechtstreek is a beautiful natural park that lies on either side of the Vecht river. You can stay on the bank of this river in a traditional Mongolian yurt overlooking the Nigtevecht fortress or experience the peaceful meadows near the Heuvelrug at Laura’s campspace.

    Campsites in Drenthe
Everyone knows that cycling is popular in the Netherlands, but the province of Drenthe is the leading cycling province in the Netherlands! Drenthe’s beautiful nature reserves make it a popular area for camping and outdoor activities. Bring small children to this small campsite in in Wijster or make it a weekend to remember at this off-grid campsite near the Stieltjeskanaal.

    Campsites in Flevoland
Flevoland is the newest province to be added to the Netherlands, created by merging polders made from reclaimed land in the 50s and 60s. As more farmland in this area is being returned to nature, opportunities for camping in the beautiful nature are increasing. The Oostvaardersplassen are swamplands that have become a hub for important wildlife and vegetation. Visit Svenja’s energy neutral campspace near Lelystad and pitch your tent in her fruit orchard.

    Campsites in Friesland
Friesland is known for its rich culture and abundant nature. There are four national parks in Friesland and many nature reserves, which are all popular places to walk, cycle and birdwatch. The Rottige Meente is a nature reserve a stone’s throw away from Bernd’s campspace in Spanga. The Noordelijke Friese Wouden (Noardlike Fryske Wâlden in Fries) is a protected area that works to protect biodiversity in the area. Stay at The Boppe Tike and choose from a treehouse or geodesic dome for a night to remember!

    Campsites in Gelderland
The province of Gelderland is home to arguably the most famous national park in the Netherlands, De Hoge Veluwe. It’s also home to many orchards, which are collectively called de Betuwe. Monique’s campspace is a stone’s throw from the most renowned part of the Veluwezoom, lookout point de Posbank, where you can see the most breathtaking view of rolling hills covered in flowering gorse.
