When you place a booking request you can pay the booking immediately before the host has accepted the reservation request.
The host still needs to accept the reservation request for the booking to be completed. If they do not the full amount will be refunded. However this does not apply if the pitch you just booked is instant bookable in which case our reservation is completed after payment. We recommend to always check for a confirmation email to ensure you booking was completed.
By paying for your reservation as soon as you make the request we facilitate the bookings process for both our hosts and guests.
Paying and communicating through Campspace helps ensure that you're protected under our Terms and conditions, Cancellation policy, policies, and the Campspace Host Security Plan.
It also makes it easy to find and reference important reservation details, such as a listing's address, check-in details, and other useful information. We can't provide these benefits if your reservation isn't booked and paid for directly through Campspace. Therefore, it is not allowed to share data, such as external links, social media accounts, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, or other data that facilitate communication or payments outside the platform via the Campspace website.
Paying or communicating outside of Campspace also makes it harder for us to protect your information and puts you at greater risk of fraud and other security issues, such as phishing. This is when people create false accounts or websites intending to steal personal information, such as your password or account number. It's called phishing or spoofing. Are you doubting whether a message really comes from Campspace? Send an email directly to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Report suspicious messages
Never pay for your reservation outside Campspace. If someone asks you to pay for a reservation outside our on-site payment system - or you think someone might be sending you links to a fake Campspace site - tell us about it as soon as possible. If you didn't pay through Campspace (e.g. a wire or bank transfer), you may have paid for fraudulent reservations or a fake Campspace. Let us know immediately.
To contact a host directly, you need to send a booking request to the host. After sending a booking request you can start a chat with the host through the platform.
Once you have camped at a campspaces, you can write a review about your stay. We will send you a message after your stay to hear how your campspace experience has been. We and the host would like to hear whether you had a good time and it helps other travellers.
Sometimes a host or camper will have to cancel a completed booking. We understand that this can happen. The refunds will always happen through our platform. Here are the three procedures which we follow:
Cancellation 30 days in advance
A paid booking can be cancelled till 30 days before the arrival date, the amount of the reservation will be refunded, but the commission and administrative costs won’t be.
Cancellation within 30 days before arrival
If the camper wants to cancel their booking within the 30 days before arrival, the host and guest should communicate together if the amount will be refunded. When having come to an agreement the camper or the host can contact Campspace through email@example.com.
The host already has the money on his/her banking account, what now?
The host will receive the amount when the date of arrival has come. It can happen that the guests can’t stay the night and want a refund. In this case you can contact Campspace through firstname.lastname@example.org, when you have/haven’t come to an agreement.
If you discover upon arrival at the campspace that is not as advertised and does not meet your expectations, please consult with the host to see if you can come to an agreement. If this does not yield an amicable solution, please contact us at email@example.com and we will work to achieve the best possible solution.
It is possible for a host to respond to a guest's review. At the moment it is not possible for a host to write a review about a guest on Campspace. We want to implement this in the future.
Once you have created a booking request, you have 48 hours to pay. If you do not complete the payment within the term, the booking will be automatically canceled and you will have to resend a booking request.
Once the booking is paid and accepted by the host, the booking is completed. When a booking is completed you will receive more information about the host, such as a phone number and address, etc. In this way you can contact the host outside the platform.
Of course, we understand that you would like to have drinking water at the Campspace. At almost every Campspace there is drinking water available. If this is not the case it will be indicated in the description of the Campspace itself. If you aren’t sure you can always contact your host.
We understand that you want to use a decent toilet. At a lot of campspaces there is a toilet available. At some campspaces it is a compost toilet and at other spaces a normal toilet cabin. At some campspaces there are also other sanitary services available. This will be indicated in the description of the campspace. So, before you send out a booking request, always look what’s provided at the campspace so you won’t have any surprises when arriving at the campspace.
Do you want to bring your pet on the camping trip? No problem, there are plenty of campspaces where pets are as welcome as the campers. If pets are allowed at the campspace, it will be mentioned in the description of the campspace. If it is not clear, you can send the host a request and start a chat and ask the host directly.
No longer intended to camp via Campspace? Maybe we can help you to make it as pleasant as we can. If you want to remove your account from Campspace, send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will assist you in the proces! It’s not possible to delete your account if you still have reservations or booking requests open.
