About this campspace

A place for nature lovers! Very quiet and peaceful stay in the woods of central Limburg province. It is where The Netherlands is at it's most narrow, 300 m from Germany and 10 km from Belgium.
We are located right in the middle of the woods, close to the Haeselaar nature reserve with its rich bird life. Our space is about 1 hectare of woodlands, far from the main roads. A great place to relax or meditate and to watch the stars at night!
In this area, there are many opportunities for walking or cycling. Bicycles are free for use for exploring the area.

Our cozy caravans are located in a sunny spot in the middle of a fruit meadow and for people who want to unwind and tune in to the sounds of birds.
The cottage is a short distance from there in the middle of the forest. The cottage was built 60 years ago and has a small library with books on travel, yoga, meditation, herbs and birds, etc.
The log cabin is self-built from natural materials taken from the immediate surroundings and is made of rough tree trunks and finished with clay.
There is also a small wood stove to keep you warm during cold weather.

We spent several days and nights in the wooden cabin and had a wonderful time. Koningsbosch is nicely situated, so you can easily go for walks nearby, or at a short distance by car. It is also the perfect place if you don't want to go anywhere, but just relax and enjoy the cabin itself and the green environment, tranquility, birds and friendly occasional talks with the owners. We have used the basic cooking facilities and had simple outdoor dinners. Also we found it a good place for board games and lots of reading. Simple things like a bare foot walk to the eco-toilet, and the pleasant temperature in the cabin on very hot days, added considerably to our enjoyment.

How was the contact with the host?
We found Marcel and Fumi very warm, kind and cheerful people. They made us feel welcome, and made sure we had everything we needed. It shows they take care of the place with lots of love, and a good eye for what makes guests feel well at ease.

I made the reservation of the caravan for my brother in law. He loved it. He is quite tall, but yet he was able to sleep very well in this cozy little place. Marcel and Fumi's 'forest garden' is perfect to share beautiful moments and talks together. Green, quiet and private.
