Tiny House
Other
Sleeping in plums and lots of other fruits. There is an organic vegetable garden, a playhouse and a barefoot / nature trail and a large terrace / tea garden. Whisper boat de IJsvogel moors at the vineyard. The cottages and barrels are all equipped with good bed linen, towels, table chairs and outdoor furniture. No hotel, no camping. A kind of camping hotel, as it were. You can cook in the kitchen house. Sanitary facilities can be found in the gypsy wagon near the houses and for the barrels in the main building at the entrance. In the weekends, breakfast and evening meals can be provided upon reservation, but only upon prior reservation.
Ideal place for family parties, company meetings, weddings, parties, good food and drinks and a good night's sleep!
Good to know: there is no permanent connection to the electricity grid, so no electricity!! there is light on batteries, but a kitchen with a gas stove and a small refrigerator on gas. But also no WIFI, no TV, no radio. So off grid. But rest, green relaxation and above all rest, rest!!

In 1978 I started my business as a landscape gardener, after that I also became a winegrower, started writing books and organizing courses. I am now also a care farmer and recreation entrepreneur.
I have four sons and 5 grandchildren.
My hobbies: collecting and testing many plant species such as grapes, apples, figs and other fruits. I am very passionate about taste and I like to cook.
The domain also receives groups for guided tours and wine tastings, for parties, weddings and much more. I have been working on organic cultivation for decades and make sure that we work as environmentally friendly, co2 neutral and climate conscious as possible at the Domain.
I was founder and chairman/boardmember of the winegrowers' guild for 13 years. Also co-founder and 15 years chairman/board member of the agrarian nature association Natural Voorne-Putten. I am a board member of the TOP-Voorne-Putten tourist business association and initiator/chairman of the Stichting Fluidboot Voorne-Putten.

When it gets cold: the cottages have no heating. A sleeping bag is very helpful when it gets cooler.

What a lovely place! Whistling birds, grunting pigs, friendly dogs, and free-range chickens. We had wonderful weather and thoroughly enjoyed walking among the vines, on the barefoot path and along the water.
We slept in one of the trekking huts that are in a row with a view over the vegetable gardens and vineyard. Super quiet place, surrounded by trees, where you really feel like you are in Italy :). At your reception you will also receive a delicious bottle of wine that we drank in the sun in front of the hut.
You can also spend the night in the wine barrels, which also looked super nice.

The owner Fred proudly told stories about the vineyard and how he grows the different types of wine.
Contact before and during the stay was great and we were well taken care of! Lovely bottle of wine, good breakfast, all fine!
Tips for new guests?
There is no heating, so bring warm socks for the evening. The kitchen is fine for cooking yourself, so bring your own groceries.

Casual stay in a tiny wooden house with a free-range pig, grapevines, apple and fig trees for company. Mercedes chickens on the stick because except for 2 USB connections for phones no electricity and you didn't want to turn on the lights inside with the nice weather outside. Sleep well with the doors open. Life Jan be so simple.
How was the contact with the host?
Fred is a nice man who is there for you if you have any questions. Has a lot to do so you'd rather not disturb him
Tips for new guests?
Assume you are going camping. So take candles or a battery-operated light with you and make sure you have things with you that don't necessarily need to be kept in the fridge. Grab a glass of wine at Fred's.

Separate place, in the middle of the vineyard and on a lake (swimming). Zuidland is a small village nearby with a bistro, snack bar, etc. The houses are basic with 12 volts, the bed is excellent. kitchen facilities available. I enjoyed it, although it was a bit warm 1 day (30 degrees), Then such a house is also very warm :-)
How was the contact with the host?
Fred and madeleine are very hospitable. You have to look for them every now and then, because they roam the grounds.
Tips for new guests?
If you have a watchful dog with you then you are not in the right place, there are pigs that also scurry around the houses at night and then the hind strikes. However, my dog became friends very quickly and the pigs are not afraid of anything. Bring a flashlight if you want to read in bed

Beautiful grounds to look out on, but in the back of the houses a busy road with a lot of traffic. Houses are quite cold in the evenings / nights in this season, make sure you have enough extra blankets, so we didn't get cold. Luckily we found a fire pit on site for the second evening which allowed us to sit out a bit longer the second day.
How was the contact with the host?
Response to messages quickly and clearly. The days we were there not spoken personally.
