About this campspace

Near the Kagerplassen, in the middle of 't Groene Hart, near city center Leiden, is our paradise piece of land on the dike. At the end of the dike you can rent a (sailing) boat. The area is also perfect for a walking or cycling trip. In ten minutes cycling or driving, you are in the beautiful historic center of Leiden; the birthplace of the famous Dutch painter Rembrandt van Rijn. There are many wonderful museums and lovely restaurants in Leiden.

At our property you can camp in the shade, between the sheep or in the apple orchard: you can choose your own spot and if desired we mow the grass for you. You have some sweet neighbors with our sheep, pigs and chickens. Tell us what you are up for: volleyball, go-karting, tomato picking or a campfire? In case you would like to invite any friends or family we would appreciate if you discuss with us before hand.

Fabulous stay at this lovely site, on a rural road just outside Leierdorp, and not far from Leiden. It was pouring it down with rain and we were able to park our campervan on the hard path. there was an amazing indoor hang out space, complete with sofas and wood burning stove, which was even lit for us. outside chickens roam freely and there is even a big pig pen with piggies. Beyond where we camped was a field with sheep, and a large waterway on the other side of the road. Excellent facilities, lovely warm shower. the owner super friendly.Wish we could have stayed longer!

Dot was onze eerste campeer ervaring, alles was dus vrij spannend. Gelukkig werden wij zeer hartelijk ontvangen. We hadden ons geen betere plek kunnen wensen.

Omdat je achter een dijkje zit zit je vrij beschut. Verder is het rustig en zit je toch met een paar minuten in de stad.

What wonderful days we had with Susanne and Klaas, or rather with Klaas and Corrie who took care of the honours.
A very nice spacious place, with a beautiful view over the sheep meadow and the wild flowers around the swimming pond and the beehives.

We stayed at Susanne’s over the weekend and it was just absolutely lovely. Susanne and her husband are so very kind. She brought us home made pumpkin soup that was to die for! And even though her husband had warned us about a dozen times not to get stuck in the mud with our van, we still did, of course.... but he made no fuss about it and just helped us to dig and pulled us out with his car in no time. The camping space itself is wonderful, with a lovely view and nice company from the animals they have. Good location, close to Leiden and by bike to the coast. Near water and with chickens and pigs scratching around the camper. Unfortunately also very wet soggy ground with very high grass (not mowed) and so we were stuck in the clay soil. Not warned on arrival. As a result, we were stuck our first afternoon.
