Visit the biggest nature reserve of the Netherlands and go for a walk. The east of the Netherlands is one of the most beautiful places to set up your camp.

Is the work stress too much and you have been looking for a break from all that hassle for a while. Relax in your own country and visit the east, there is a lot of variation in the type of Campspace that you can visit. Which one you choose, that choice is yours.

Camping in the East of the Netherlands is slightly different from the other parts of the Netherlands. Especially in the diversity of the landscapes. There are farming villages, large open lakes and beautiful landscapes with trees. In addition to the cities that are of course also there to visit. Due to the amount of rivers, it is wonderful to make use of the water in the summer, but certainly also in the winter.

Active camping

For example, go to the Sallandse Heuvelrug, a beautiful nature reserve to discover on foot. Or go to the castle in Bad Bentheim just across the border. That's not even the only castle, there are more. And there are so many other things to visit and do. For example, go to a museum or if you like to stay within the feeling of nature, go kayaking or cycling. With all the space that the East of the country offers, you will never get bored.

You can also just relax. Make a nice campfire or put on the barbecue and enjoy the cosiness and warmth that it offers. In general, making tasty food is great fun if you have to do it with a little less stuff. But eating out is also super tasty in this region.

Stay local and within the Netherlands. This not only saves travel time, but is also safe and secure. Go together or alone, make it romantic or adventurous, back-to-basic or luxurious. Whatever your campingtrip needs, you will find it in the East of the Netherlands.

Still looking for a different region. Then take a look at the pages of the North of the Netherlands and the South of the Netherlands. And see if you can find the perfect Campspace for you there.
