Welcome to our winery – Your retreat in the heart of the vineyards

Here you can leave everyday life behind and enjoy the peace of nature. Our three pitches are located in the village center of Mauchen, while they are situated just outside the village, surrounded by the gentle hills of the vineyards – the perfect place to unwind.

There are many wineries in the region that you can visit – and you are also warmly welcome with us! The location is ideal: In just 30 minutes you are in Basel, in about 35 minutes in Freiburg and in a few minutes in France. The Black Forest is also very close by and a trip there is definitely worthwhile.

For those who like to be active, there are numerous hikes, walks or cycling tours through the vineyards and the beautiful Rhine Valley – a true paradise for outdoor enthusiasts!

There are numerous wineries in our region that can be visited, and you are also very welcome to visit our winery! From Mauchen, you can reach Basel in just 30 minutes, Freiburg in about 35 minutes, and France in just a few minutes. A trip to the Black Forest is also highly recommended from here. Tips

  • There are many wineries in the region – we would be happy to welcome you to our Sommerhalter winery for a wine tasting!

  • A special highlight is a visit to Bürgeln Castle – the baroque castle impresses with its picturesque location and a fantastic view over the Markgräflerland.

  • The Gasthof Adler in Schliengen is within walking distance of our pitches and offers Baden cuisine, cozy candlelit dinners, and a lovely beer garden in summer.
