About this location

Enjoy nature in the forest and relax by the lake or take a refreshing swim. We have two pitches on an old tennis court. Here you can pitch your tent in a clearing in the woods. Vans or other vehicles have to drive through a section of the forest; this is not a paved road. You'll need to navigate between the trees and bushes to reach the tennis court. Our property features a beautiful mixed beech forest with very old trees and a small lake with an inlet and outlet, ensuring a constant supply of fresh water and a wonderfully cool temperature. There are also fish in the lake, which you are welcome to catch by prior arrangement. Currently, the lake is covered in a large amount of duckweed, so the surface isn't clear. However, the water underneath is as clear and clean as ever. With us, you'll enjoy a secluded spot with direct access to nature and can relax and enjoy your time in peace. Barbecuing on the pitch is also possible by prior arrangement. There is a metal bucket for the ashes; please dispose of them there. There is a shared campfire area by the lake where you are welcome to light a fire. Dogs are welcome, and especially if they can join our Labrador mix, Yoko, for a play session :) We're happy to discuss any special requests or needs; just send us a message. The area is perfect for short hikes and bike rides – the Weser Cycle Path, the Elbe Cycle Path, and the North Sea Cycle Path are all nearby. The sea is about a 30-45 minute drive away, depending on whether you prefer a grassy area by the water, like in Spieka-Neufeld, or a sandy beach, like in Cuxhaven Dunen. Bremerhaven, with its German Emigration Center, Climate House, and the Weser dike, is half an hour away, and the next largest town, Bad Bederkesa, offers shopping, a historic castle to explore, and a lovely lake for a stroll. In Hainmühlen itself, there's a charming historic watermill with a working waterwheel, and of course, plenty of farms and even more forest for walking and cycling. So you can explore the surrounding area or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of our green oasis. We look forward to welcoming you – Kathrin, Vera, Andrea, and Yoko.
