About this location

You can camp here in a quiet meadow on the edge of a forest with a frog pond (total area of the site is 1.5 ha). Behind the forest is a stream in which the children can look for the hidden "water life". Nearby are several hiking and biking trails.
A water mill on the Kleine Nete is 500 meters away. There you can rent a kayak with which you can sail down the Kleine Nete to Grobbendonk (transport back to the Watermill can be arranged). The children's walk "het Hekselienpad" also starts there. the road over bridges and hay meadows.The hidden swamp takes you deep into the forest, all the way to the witch playground).
The Prinsenpark with signposted hiking trails for young and old is 1 km away.
There is a covered area (stable) on the site, with a picnic bench. It also contains a sink with running water (not potable) and a refrigerator. There are two jerry cans with drinkable water. In addition, there is a separate (flush) toilet and a solar shower (hot water in sunny weather).
The children can play freely in the forest and wood can be gathered for the campfire. A grid is provided, so that baking and roasting can be done above the campfire.
On the other side of the village is the Familiestrand and the Berkenstrand (swimming and rowing pond).
A darts block and ping-pong table are provided in the roof.

  • Rent a kayak at the Watermolen (1km) and sail to Grobbendonk on the Kleine Nete. (transport back is arranged in the Watermolen)

  • Visit the Prinsenpark where walks have been mapped out for young and old. (at 1.5 km from the site)

  • On the market of Retie you have several cafes.
