Facing due south, this orchard is dotted with trees laden with fruit and shade. A tall, protective hedgerow isolates it from the outside world. The unmown areas shelter a vibrant array of wildlife. The surrounding landscape invites leisurely strolls or trail running. From the orchard, small sunken lanes bordered by preserved hedgerows form cool tunnels with gentle undulations. Rolling meadows, ponds, and groves: the palette of colors creates an endless array of greens. I invite you to stop by a small orchard I've been tending for 15 years. This place enchanted me from my very first visit; I feel like I'm on vacation, even like a child again! I observe nature's bounty, and harvesting apples allows me to make my own juice. I love capturing the fleeting silhouettes of animals at night with my camera trap. Nearby, walks offer beautiful views and a good amount of elevation gain, which is great for keeping your legs and lungs active! My workshop is located right next door, and I'd be happy to show it to you if you're curious! I chose a craft because I need calm to dream and concentrate; I love that moment of flow when time stands still. I also need to restore and create tangible and "honest" objects—that is, objects that are both useful and beautiful, and durable. See you soon!
