About this location

A natural idyll beneath castle ruins – a peaceful pitch surrounded by greenery. Nestled between forest and river, below an old castle ruin and on the grounds of a former manor farm, lies our nature-oriented pitch – quiet, green, and with plenty of space to arrive and unwind. You'll be parked on a spacious meadow (grass surface) with expansive views of the surrounding greenery and direct access to the forest. The site is ideal for campers who consciously seek tranquility and want to enjoy a simple, authentic getaway. A special highlight is our two donkeys 🫏, who, with a bit of luck, might greet you in the morning – an experience that many guests remember for a long time. In the evenings, the calls of owls create a truly special atmosphere. The surrounding area invites you to take walks and spend relaxing hours in nature. Perfect for couples, solo travelers, and those seeking peace and quiet. 👉 Good to know: • Location: close to nature at Waldecker Hof (now a retirement home), not a typical campsite • Ground: meadow/grass • Quiet, but not completely secluded • A road can be heard nearby, but it's much quieter at night. If you're looking for a special, quiet spot in nature, this is the place for you.
