About this location

This spot, called "Biesbos," nestled in the greenery, has recently become our nature retreat. We and our dog are often there, but we also want others to enjoy it. Eventually, it will become a food forest and a nature experience. We also want guests to enjoy this emerging forest. That's why, in addition to our own chalet, we also have a lovely caravan available for camping. You can enjoy wonderful walks and bike rides in numerous unique nature reserves, including the Langdonken, Goor Asbroek, and the woods around Averbode Abbey. An extensive network of hiking junctions passes by our spot. Mountain bikers and cyclists will also find plenty to enjoy here. If you prefer a city break, you can go to Aarschot, which offers a wealth of cultural attractions. For groceries, you can go to Herstelt or Wolfsdonk. A bicycle is available for grocery shopping.
Welcome in advance,

We are Patty and Freek. By purchasing our renovated vintage caravan (Eriba Triton 1977) we got to know Campspace and a lot of nice places. Now that we have our own nature spot, we also want other guests to enjoy it. Patty in particular has a green thumb and likes to work with paint and clay. Freek is delving into food forests and also likes to work with wood (turning). Together we especially like walking with our dog Basil (Bordercoli).

Tips

  • Hiking in the unique Langdonken nature reserve.

  • Walking in the nature reserve Bos en Heide around the Abbey of Averbode.

Sustainability

  • Waste separation

  • Organic cleaning products

  • Water-saving measures

We save water by using the dry toilet, collect as much rainwater as possible and partially purify it using an IBA. We also have our outdoor shower that is heated by the sun.
