We live in the greenery in the center of the beautiful nature reserve "Le Parc des Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin." You can walk and cycle to your heart's content here.
The sea is never far away. You can take a lovely stroll on the extensive beaches and in the numerous small fishing ports around where you can enjoy delicious seafood.
The Normandy landings (WWII) happened nearby. Numerous museums and memorials bear witness to this.
Our house is set in a beautiful garden with a cider orchard and a lush vegetable garden where we grow our vegetables organically in harmony with nature. We sell our aromatic and medicinal herbs. Our mini campsite is located in our garden at a distance from our house.
We choose to allow people to camp very limited in one place so that they can fully enjoy the peace, space and silence. The accommodation is basic. You have a dry toilet and a hot shower at your disposal.
You can request breakfast if you wish. Kris and Anne spoil you at the breakfast table with fresh eggs from our chickens, homemade bread, croissants and homemade jam.
WIFI available and bicycle rental possible.
A combination with our guest rooms is possible.

Anne and Chris have a beautiful place in their vegetable garden to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. The amenities are fine with a hot water shower and dry toilet. For us, this was the perfect place from which to discover the Cotentin peninsula.

You can stroll through Anne and Chris's garden and discover all the plants and vegetables that grow there. We also bought all kinds of special tomatoes and several types of vegetables from the garden were offered to try. The eggs of their own hens were also offered for sale. We have enjoyed this very much.

We would definitely come back as there is still plenty to do.

How was the contact with the host?
Anne and Chris were mega helpful. We arrived 5 days later than planned due to car trouble and this was no problem for them (we were lucky that there was still room).

Even when we told them what we had plans for the day, they always came up with another cool place to go. In this way we discovered places that we might never have seen otherwise.

Tips for new guests?
Ask especially for tips for daily outings. Anne and Chris know all the cool places in Cotentin and can tell you exactly where to go. Also, be sure to try the vegetables and eggs they offer for sale.

Hi Mandy and Eric, We are pleased with this extensive appreciation. As for the car trouble, .. It would have been very sad that after so much tension, your holiday could not continue. Not? Always welcome to enjoy the camping spot and our garden! There is still so much to discover here....Anne&Kris

We had a very pleasant stay in the beautiful and peaceful garden of Anne and Kris. We were the only campers in their garden so we could completely relax. We had the freedom to walk through their large garden at any time of the day and explore what was there. On our last day we enjoyed the extensive, fresh breakfast for 10€ per person.

How was the contact with the host?
Anne and Kris are very friendly and hospitable people. They helped us a lot in looking for activities to do in the area: restaurants, places of interest... They were happy to answer our many questions about their garden.

Tips for new guests?
- Homemade breakfast by Anne and Kris with all kinds of goodies from their garden
- Possibility to purchase tasty and fresh vegetables from their vegetable garden

What a wonderful stay it has been! The facilities are very basic so prepare yourself for that, but what you get in return is a wonderfully quiet place (there is only 1 camping spot!) in a beautiful ecological garden. Anne and Kris are very friendly hosts who have a huge knowledge of the area and can recommend good activities and places to visit. The option for breakfast is a nice extra.

How was the contact with the host?
Very good. Anne responds quickly to emails and telephone which is nice for making / adjusting bookings.

Tips for new guests?
Enjoy this unique place!

A wonderfully quiet and dark environment.
There are few amenities. We missed a sink with mirror, showering was improvised with a garden hose.

How was the contact with the host?
Fine

Dear Paul,

From our first meeting I felt that you were not happy with your spacious place in our beautiful, lush garden. Our announcement makes it very clear that our equipment is basic. And yet it still feels uncomfortable that we cannot meet your unspoken demands for more luxury. Our strength lies in providing a place where people can be, enjoy without the noise of other campers, in silence, tranquility and full nature. A great luxury in the busy world in which you live. Not?
You have barbecued here, slept in, picked flowers, ... Is all of that worthless?
Our shower is clean and tidy, and you have received wonderfully warm water through our garden hose. Is it your concern how we take care of the supply of water? And we would certainly have given you a mirror and a sink if you would have asked. It is there but in a different place….
And when you gave me this positive tip, I indicated to you that it is planned for next year.
We don't even understand that our place is dark, you were gone for the one day you were here. How can you know?
We missed your kindness. I asked several times how you were doing and barely got an answer. We didn't get a good day from your wife and child, no goodbyes,...
In fact, it is not immediately apparent how we want to shape relationships on our project.

Have a nice summer to you,

Anne&Kris

Tell us about your experience
We had a wonderful week in Anne and Kris' garden.
There was a compost toilet, a (wonderful) outdoor shower, spicy vegetable garden, birdsong, chickens (which lay tasty eggs), ...
In short, if you like to place your tent in a quiet place, this is a great place!

How was the contact with the host?
Kris and Anne are very nice people. They helped us on our way in a beautiful region.
We also received valuable tips about (hidden) places that we would otherwise not find as a tourist

Tips for new guests?
- Let yourself be pampered by an honest breakfast
- Enjoy a beautiful starry sky or look for the glowworms in the dark
