Update: May 2026. To improve the usability of the area, extensive construction work was carried out at the end of 2025 to level the ground behind the cabin. Description: 5 km from the pilgrimage site of Schöntal Monastery and the birthplace of Götz von Berlichingen, the “Fuchseloch” (Fox Hole) lies in the beautiful Kocher Valley – as we call our approximately 3,000 m² sloping, mostly fenced meadow – above the industrial village of Ernsbach (approx. 1,100 inhabitants). A barbecue area and a wooden cabin are located on the flat front section. Parking is available about 100 m from the property. However, access is only possible on foot. Driving onto the property is only possible partially and with a suitable vehicle. The rear section is initially flat but becomes increasingly steep. Nevertheless, the "Fuchseloch" (Foxhole) offers plenty of space to romp and play. It's perfect for families with children and dogs who want to enjoy a quiet break in the Hohenlohe region, for larger groups looking for a neutral spot for a reunion, or for couples who simply want to spend a romantic night outdoors. The area is secluded – nudism is permitted. For cultural and culinary experiences: The local restaurant "Zum Lamm" is a treat for connoisseurs of Swabian cuisine. Or you can visit the bistro at the Kocherwerk (Kocher Works). Besides hot and cold drinks, it also offers cakes, snacks, and other small delicacies. You can round off your visit to the Kocherwerk on the sun terrace. Furthermore, the idyllic area offers perfect opportunities for hiking, for example, to the Forchtenberg Castle ruins – the birthplace of Sophie Scholl. In the hot summer months, the Kocher River, with its sunbathing lawn by the sports field, offers welcome relaxation and refreshment. The Tyrolean lake, just 5 km away, offers fun for all ages with its volleyball court. Amenities: There is ample seating both inside and outside the cabin. Additional loungers are available outside. Please bring your own dishes and plates. A small sandbox with toys is available for children. Firewood is limited, so please use it responsibly so that the next guest can also enjoy it. Two 20L water canisters filled with tap water are provided. Please do not drink the water. The generator is gasoline-powered. Price: €15 is per person per night! Additional bookings are possible. Flexible arrival and departure times are available upon request. Additional services: - Generator: €10/day (excluding gasoline) - Tent rental: €5/day - Stand-up paddleboard: €15/day
