About this location

A former water mill is located in the middle of the Cotentin peninsula. Both forest and beach are a half hour's drive away. In 20 minutes you reach the charming town of Coutances, famous for its jazz festival 'sous les pommiers'. The characteristic mill sits in a green valley by the Venloue stream between rolling hills. Various walking trails can be found in the immediate area (mostly small sunken lanes lined with hedges). A mountain bike route runs directly next to the mill. The voie verte is reachable in 10 minutes.

  • Go cycle on the Voie Verte

  • We are living next to a mountain bike and walking trail which takes you through our beautiful valley

  • Go to the Thursday market in Coutances, they offer all kinds of culinary treats

  • We really like the P47 in Mesnilbus; they have Belgium beers on the tap and they offer all kinds of local delicacieslicacieslicacies

  • We really love 'La Cale' in Blainville sur mer which is kind of 'pirate's den with interesting embroidery on the walls and where you can have very good 'moules et frites'

    We have a barrelsauna which fits up to 6 people. It's wood fired, very cozy and comfortable. You can view the plungepool which is constantly being filled up by our natural spring.
