About this location

A farm in the Wesermarsch region of Lower Saxony. The small, cosy village of Hagen-Grinden offers beautiful field paths for walking and is ideal for cycling. The farm is located directly on the scenic Weser cycle path. Many animals live here on the farm and in the neighbourhood – roosters crow, horses neigh, and hens cluck. We operate an arable farm according to Bioland standards with pig fattening and mobile free-range egg production. We also accommodate guests in a holiday apartment and have a small farm shop with self-service. There you will find fresh eggs, drinks and delicious organic ice cream.

  • Hagen-Grinden is located near the Weser Cycle Path. Perfect for bike tours.

  • In the neighboring village, you can take the bicycle ferry to the other side of the Weser river on weekends from May to October.

  • Supermarkets can only be found in the neighboring town, about 3 km away.

  • Bars and pubs can be found in Verden and Achim (approx. 13 km away).

  • The next town, Etelsen, offers an ice cream parlor and restaurants.

    Our three "specials" still roam freely around the farmyard. They entertain our holiday guests and farm shop visitors. You might also occasionally spot the neighbor's chickens checking things out :)

    The parking space is located in our old orchard (pear, plum and apple trees). You are welcome to eat fruit in normal quantities during the appropriate season.

    Hagen-Grinden feels like an island, surrounded by the lock canal and the Weser River. Hagen-Grinden is only accessible by vehicle via one of three bridges.

    Bodo and Knut (our goats) live on our company premises. However, visits are only possible by prior arrangement.

    Hagen-Grinden is located close to the Weser Cycle Path. There are excellent cycling opportunities, and the bicycle ferry in the neighboring village of Grinden is ideal; you can cross the Weser there from May to October.

    Verden and Bremen are easily accessible.

  • Activities on the farm

    It's possible, but always depends on time and other circumstances. In any case, discuss it beforehand, as the current animal disease situation often makes it impossible.

  • Wildlife observation

    Deer like to roam the orchard in the evening. Hares and pheasants are also frequent visitors.
