Just the way we like it, wonderfully quiet!

How was the contact with the host?
Can't fault the contact with the host. Very friendly.

Very nice environment. Beautiful castle.
There is potable well water, electricity and a composting toilet. But that toilet could be made a little better. Just a plank with a hole, but the plank hasn't been sanded properly, so you'll soon have splinters in your poo. A toilet seat would be much better.

We were alone on the domain and it is the peace itself. Apart from the many animals you hear nothing. It is also completely quiet at night. (besides the screeching of the birds of prey and some cats).

Very nice place and environment!

How was the contact with the host?
No contact with the host. He was traveling himself. The gardener lives on the property, who was super friendly and helpful.

Tips for new guests?
Bring strong tent pegs. The bottom is very hard.

There is a lot of rubbish on the property. Lots of old iron and rubble. So be careful with children.

Nice place, nice castle.

How was the contact with the host?
Very friendly reception.

Tips for new guests?
They recommended visiting La Roche Guyon nearby and it was worth it. The mill of Fourges is also beautiful to visit.

We had a lovely stay! The village is very quiet and the surroundings are beautiful. We had everything we expected and the fact that we were free to use any space on the premises was nice.

We had a nice chat with the very friendly groundskeeper who showed us the different animals kept by Paul-Arnaud. Our almost one year old son loved the ducklings and chicks.

The only minor issue was that we didn't think the potable water was very clean. But Paul-Arnaud offered to use his shower in case we needed it, which was nice.

We might come back some day.

How was the contact with the host?
Paul-Arnaud was very friendly and gave us a nice welcome when we arrived at his property. We had a small chat with his wife and would have loved to get to know each other better and to let our kids play together. Maybe another time.

The groundskeeper is a very nice man too.

There is also a very friendly dog.

Tips for new guests?
There is a little town close by where you can get bread and drink a coffee in the morning.

It was a pity that the residents were not there.
The front garden is great and beautiful but the rear garden where toilet and showers are was not attractive and we did not use it in the end.

How was the contact with the host?
Friendly but not present

It's an nice place to stay but the sanitary was a big issue for us. The lovely couple saved us by letting us use their shower because otherwise there would be none. We had a but of unluck with the weather because otherwise the stay would be more comfortable

How was the contact with the host?
Good

Tips for new guests?
I would stay for only one night, be prepared that there is no shower and very basic toilets
