Your host, Heidi

Acceptance rate: 100%

I'm Heidi, a market gardener, permaculture practitioner, cook, and designer. I've been developing this micro-farm for two years, focused on short-chain farming from producer to consumer. I welcome guests to participate in farm activities: feeding chickens, collecting eggs, sowing, and harvesting. On the last Sunday of each month, our association hosts a communal bread-oven gathering where everyone brings something to cook and we share the meal together.

Tips

  • Above all, go see the Roches de Ham; at the top you'll have a superb panoramic view of the Vire valley. But down below, on the towpath, you can see the rocks; they offer calm and serenity.

  • We enjoy walking or cycling along the towpath, a 2km walk from the farm. You can also go to the Condé-sur-Vire leisure park (4km) for a kayak trip.

  • The Saint-Lô market! The Quibou market! The small farmers' markets: in Condé-sur-Vire, or La Cabane Penchée in Baudre

  • Pub-restaurant La Pomme d'or in Torigni-sur-Vire (Torigni-les Villes)

  • Hot meals available on site at 7pm by reservation and for other days: La crêperie de Roches de Ham, La Fourchette in Condé.

Rules

Since preserving natural resources is important to us, we avoid washing sheets for just one night. We encourage you to bring your own. If you happen to forget, don't worry, we'll lend you some. As for pets, they are welcome if kept on a leash. The campsite is in a quiet, natural setting, and we like to be discreet, especially at night, so we can continue to coexist with the nocturnal animals: owls, foxes, badgers, hares, deer...

Yes, if they are kept on a leash, because our cat is afraid of dogs.
