About this location

Two kilometres from the beach, at the foothills of Pays d'Auge, this ecological camping welcomes you.

Campers will enjoy a beautiful meadow where the sun rises, on the edge of a forest, with a dry toilet, drinking water access and the possibility of electrical connection if needed.

It is an eco-site under development. It is inhabited by a family that offers the public activities for all ages and talks about our relationship with the environment, trees, fauna and flora.

What to do around?

The site is three hundred metres on foot from the Batterie Museum and two kilometres from the beach (swimming, sailing school, kitesurfing).

You can shop in the village stores (Bazar, groceries, greengrocers, Carrefour Market, many restaurants) or at a nearby farm (eggs, seasonal vegetables and regional products).

For walkers, 150 metres from the site runs the GR 223 trail linking Honfleur to Mont Saint Michel.

Cyclists will find nearby the Vélomaritime, a 100% cycle route from the English Channel to the North Sea.

In September, Merville-Franceville hosts the great medieval fantasy festival Cidre & Dragons.

The pitches are located on the edge of the woods in a well-maintained meadow, facing the fields and the Pays d'Auge escarpment. They receive morning sun and the woods to the west. We prefer smaller accommodations such as two- to four-person tents. The access roads are too narrow for vans and motorhomes. However, it is possible to park sixty meters from the pitches. The site is equipped with a dry toilet and a water point with a garden hose. We offer self-sufficient campers a natural setting, a beautiful wooded area without amenities. We can provide electricity if needed. L'Épi is a place dedicated to ecology. Please sort your waste (compost is available for organic waste, and there is a bin on site for everything else).
