Privacy preserved.
Private rental of two large isolated and secure plots (40 acres in total), in the middle of a nature reserve, on the Tienne Morainy plateau near Fondry des Chiens (remarkable natural site) to explore the Calestienne and the Nismes forest.

La Calestienne is a limestone plateau at the junction of the French Ardennes and the Fagne, dating back 350 million years and of coral origin.
You are immersed in the middle of a nature reserve in very diverse particular landscapes (plains, forests, bushes), surrounded by exceptional protected flora.
It’s the “wild” atmosphere.
More than 300 palleogulfs are listed there.
The immense forest of Nismes Ardennes has preserved most of its natural heritage. However, you are 10 minutes walk from the village via a very pretty picturesque path for doing your shopping where all kinds of shops are available and open on Sundays for basic needs.
No traffic, no noise (distant); than wild nature.

Activities
A few minutes away, a small wooded path downhill takes you to the heart of the village, Nismes, where shops and cafes are open, even on Sundays.
Like a river that runs through the village, where it is possible to swim.
Maps of marked walks are available.
In the region, there is the Ry de Rome lake, the Vieille forges lake, Cyclo greenways, marked mountain bike trails, marked hiking trails, cultural visits, as well as in the village of Jardin d'O where there is there are boat trips, ...

Other remarks
Firewood is a supplement calculated at its fair value.
You can't have everything... Heavy vehicles are prohibited from entering the pitch: Those sleeping in a roof tent or in a van are allowed to bring it into the pitch in more or less dry weather.

The 40-acre plot ( 2), located in the heart of the forest, is fully fenced in (secure), next to a viewpoint overlooking the region and just a few meters from a chasm.
Two small wooden kitchen shelters and a fire pit are available (extra charge).
This welcoming, level terrain features small gardens, meadows and shady areas with undergrowth.
The plot is easily accessible by car and has parking spaces.
There are two large separate plots to guarantee privacy for individual travelers or groups. The terrain is flat and easy to access.
Tents can be set up wherever you like.
Please note: I can only accept mini-mini vans with berths or caravel-like dimensions, VW transport maximum.

The sanitary facilities
There are no toilets, but the surrounding area has discreet corners for this purpose.
You can heat water in a kettle.

The amenities
In the middle of nowhere, there's no electricity or running water, but the owner provides you with gas, drinking water, spring water, kettle, saucepans, various kitchen utensils, sugar, salt, pepper, fridge box + ice cubes (if necessary), garbage can liners, coffee filters, thermos, can openers. Just bring your own cutlery, plates and bowls, and solar lamps. You'll also need to bring plenty of oil for my pots and pans.
You have at your disposal: 2 wooden shelters of 3 to 4 m² mulched on the ground ( kitchen n° 2).
1 12 m² kitchen shelter ( n°1)

The owner will take back the PMC garbage cans that comply with waste sorting requirements. Black garbage cans are your responsibility if you have a car.
Fire pit for barbecue with large table and seats.
Wood for lighting and burning is provided at extra cost.
There is no electricity, but the owner can recharge your phone batteries.

You are asked not to destroy or annoy but to respect ALL occupants and their habitats such as birds, slowworms, snakes, snails, butterflies, insects, etc.
For hygiene reasons and to preserve the environment, the owner takes care of cleaning the greasy dishes used.
Waste must be sorted according to certain recommendations which will be displayed.
Blue bins (plastic and cans) and clean paper and cardboard bins are the responsibility of the owner. Glass waste can be placed in the village container. Black trash cans will be your responsibility if you are driving.
Cigarette butts => in the ashtray and not in the environment or in the fire!
Please do not place my pans in the fire.
You can arrive whenever you want, I will send you a very precise access route. It is advisable to notify me approximately of the time of your arrival in case it is necessary to take you there (especially for groups!) and also so that I can advise you on your new haunts.
