🏕 If you want to camp in the great outdoors with your little tribe, but you can't see yourself pitching your tent on a mini-pitch in a crowded campsite, you've come to the right place here.
It's a homecoming that awaits you during your stay with us, in La Roche-en-Ardenne.
🍡 Imagine roasting marshmallows around the campfire or admiring the stars directly from your platform, warm under the duvet.
🕊You will wake up in the early morning to birdsong and admire the misty veil rising from the bottom of the valley with the arrival of the first rays of sunshine.
🚶 ♀️ Want some action after breakfast? Stroll quietly on this private land of half a hectare or wash your face in the Ourthe which is barely 50m away.
🧺 After a day of walking or fishing in our magnificent region, you will undoubtedly enjoy having your meal at a picnic table under a century-old charm. This is our most romantic corner!
Rainy weather or too much sun? No problem, a space of 36m2 covered with a canvas will allow you to play a board game sheltered from the elements.
🚻 Going back to basics does not mean "returning to the stone age". We have provided an outhouse on site. However, you'll have to make do with washing up at the sink, as there are no showers here.
ℹ️
• The land of half a hectare is totally privatized. Here, the luxury is the fully privatized natural space of half a hectare. There will be no other campers on the pitch!
• The site has a "glamping" type cotton tent with its queen size double bed and a hanging tent with a double bed (140cm). The two tents are separated by 15m.
• Possibility of installing additional tents on the site (8€/night/pers.), provided you have a reservation in order on the Campspace pitch. Max: 5 tents/12 people.
• For information, in July and August, it is possible that the neighboring sites are occupied by scouts or other campers.

    A non-potable water tank and a sink are available. However, only environmentally friendly products are permitted.

    3 picnic tables are located under the shelter of the common area. You can move these to your liking.

    A reserve of wood is available on site in wood boxes (see photos). ⛔️ It is prohibited to cut wood on the land or in the immediate surroundings.

    Guinguettes are located in the common areas.

  • Swimming pond or river

    The Ourthe flows only a few dozen meters from the land. Access to water is easy, but is not part of the land you are renting.

  • Bed linen, pillow and duvet

    Each of the two beds has a fitted sheet, a duvet, a duvet cover and two pillows.

  • Mobile reception

    The network is available in the field but is often unstable.

    A dry toilet cabin is available on the site.

  • Cold shower

    A shower stall has a sink with a foot pump with clean water. A portable camping shower is also available.

  • Waste disposal

    We practice selective sorting (Organic, PMC, residual fraction, glasses). Organic waste is composted on site. Trash cans are available to you.

    Pets are accepted. However, be aware that the land is not fenced and that walkers often pass near the eco-camp with their dogs.

    Horses and donkeys are allowed. You will need to bring your own electrified paddock system. ⚠️ not to damage the trees on the property.

    It is possible to park 3 vehicles on the lot, at the entrance only. Please do not drive on the lawn! Alternatively, there is a small public car park 300m from the eco-camp.

    You are at the bottom of the Valley. However, the sunrises are magnificent and are accompanied by birdsong.

    You are at the bottom of the Valley. However, the sunsets are magnificent in summer.

    You are at the heart of the Ourthe Valley. Everything is green around. However, a quiet road passes next to the land and a medium voltage power line crosses it.

    From the land, the view is magnificent over the Ourthe Valley.

Tips

  • In one morning with the host, learn how to light a fire🔥 or know the basics of survival🏕, or even hard wood fire cooking recipes.

  • The Game Park of La Roche-en-Ardenne will delight young and old 🦌🐗🦫🦬🐺

  • The only supermarket in La Roche is located on Quai de l'Ourthe, a 10-minute walk from the eco-camp.

  • Have a drink on the terrace along the Ourthe at Quai Son or on Place du Bronze.

    Hundreds of kilometers of walks in the Ardennes forest starting from La Roche-en-Ardenne. My favorite? Around Lake Nisramont (~13km)

    Here, it goes up and down, but whether by mountain bike or road bike, you will find what you are looking for.

  • Swimming

    A little splash in the river? This is possible a few dozen meters from the campspace or at Maboge Plage. In any case, take your swimsuits!

  • Sightseeing

    The Roche-en-Ardenne Tourist Office will be able to direct you to your favorite activities.

  • Wildlife watching

    Many species of wild animals pass through the grounds and will delight wildlife photographers. And if you haven't seen them all, take a short walk through the Parc à Gibier.

  • Canoeing or kayaking

    Possibility to rent kayaks and go down the Ourthe or paddle on the Lake of Nisramont. I recommend Ardenne Aventures.

    Take a trip to Thierry Pêche in the pedestrian street in the center of La Roche-en-Ardenne. He will be able to direct you to your next fishing spot.
