Hello campers, New year, new adventures! We're happy to welcome you to our countryside haven... In the Middle Ages, the Temple Inn already welcomed travelers to this spot. Today, our windmill, built in the early 19th century and which ground flour until 1957, continues to attract walkers: the GR3 long-distance hiking trail passes right by our place. Besné is part of the Brière Regional Natural Park. 30 minutes from the coast. 5 minutes by car from the Vannes-Nantes dual carriageway. 5 minutes from the St-Nazaire-Nantes dual carriageway. We're in the heart of the countryside, with no neighbors around... well, except for some cows! A beautiful spot for birdwatching by day and stargazing by night. In fact, we're an LPO (League for the Protection of Birds) Refuge. It's a self-sufficient place: photovoltaic panels for electricity, a well and rainwater harvesting tanks, a constructed wetland for wastewater treatment, and composting toilets. Every day, we are more aware of our impact on the environment. On our 1.7-hectare property, we have pygmy goats, sheep, chickens, a rabbit, a guinea pig, and bees. The Moulin du Temple is a truly beautiful stop for hikers on the GR3 long-distance trail, cyclists, and anyone who appreciates simplicity in nature—a peaceful spot to recharge, rest, meditate… hammocks can get crowded! For swimmers, numerous beaches are nearby, within about 30 minutes, from Pénestin to St. Brevin. Other notes: New for 2026: changing room with water-saving shower and dry toilets. Water is not potable.

After a backpacking trip around the world, Fabien and I decided to put our bag down in this magical place. The isolation of the place gives us a great feeling of freedom. We love side roads and sincere, touching encounters. Today, we try to welcome the traveler with as much kindness as we have been welcomed in our travels.
