Hello, Upon initial contact, we need to know if you will be camping in a tent or a vehicle, and we prioritize bookings from guests who have provided their phone number on the website. We welcome you to the edge of the Bois Barbet forest, in a peaceful setting behind a family home in Normandy. Come stay in your tent (or in a 2-person or 3-person tent provided by us) or in your campervan, and perhaps hear the foghorns of the boats on the Seine in the morning... Our campsite is ideal for young and old alike, students training in Rouen or at the MIN (Marché d'Intérêt National), or even if you are attending a wedding in the area... It's also perfect accommodation for those attending concerts at Le 106, the Zénith de Rouen, or the Rouen Opera House at the Théâtre des Arts! We are located 5 minutes from Dock76 (5 minutes by car), and 15 minutes by public transport from the KINDARENA stop, which leads to the Seine quays for the Armada. The exact address will be provided during our discussions; we are located 4 minutes from Avenue Bicheray. The house, situated on the edge of the forest, is at the top of this activity zone. For campers, you will sleep under the stars on our 800m² wooded plot, part of a total 1500m² area. It's a shady spot facing north where small squirrels, tits, and sometimes a cat or two from the housing development roam. The enclosed property is surrounded by bamboo, oaks, hornbeams, beeches, pines, hazel trees, maples, wild cherries, pink and blue hydrangeas, roses... in complete tranquility. We are a 5-minute drive from the Rouen waterfront, with its restaurants, concerts at Le 106, the La Bodéga barge, the Docks76 shopping center, and more. Just steps from Rouen's historic center, you'll have the pleasure of discovering the city of a hundred spires, the Rue du Gros Horloge, shopping arcades, numerous bars, restaurants, pubs, nightclubs, and pedestrian walkways. Also nearby, enjoy Docks76 (shopping center, Gaumont cinema, etc.), the Aqualoup community swimming pool open Sunday mornings and afternoons, the François Mitterrand cultural center (library), a go-kart track, and an equestrian center. All of Rouen is accessible by bus, with the Jean Jaurès stop (Teor T3 towards Monet) a 5-minute walk away. Public transportation is 100% free on Saturdays throughout the Rouen metropolitan area! For your walks, seaside activities, cultural outings, or visits, you also have the Normandy coast (Honfleur with its port or butterfly house, Harfleur, Deauville, Trouville, the Barrière casinos, etc.), the Bocasse park, the Biotropica zoo, the Poses leisure park with waterskiing, golf, pedal boats, etc., Bédanne beach (free parking), the Jumièges leisure park for swimming or fishing, or the Clères park to get close to flamingos, kangaroos, lemurs, and more. Vic will be happy to put together a little Normandy itinerary for you, and Mathieu will prepare all your routes if you wish to explore the region! Other notes: For motorhomes equipped with a shower and refrigerator, we charge an additional fee if you wish to use our bathroom or plug in your refrigerator, as we already provide our own, empty, independent, and accessible 24/7. (1 euro per person for a shower and 2.50 euros for connecting your fridge for one day, 5 euros if you stay two nights, 7 euros if you stay 3 nights)

Note: We prioritize bookings that include a phone number, country of origin, and native language. Please let us know if you will be sleeping in a tent or your vehicle. We are a mixed-race couple: Mr. Breton from Pontivy and Mrs. Norman of Malagasy origin, and we have four children. We love human connection as much as being in nature, chatting, partying, and good food. We are proponents of the sharing and circular economy and, above all, love to travel! We own a secluded plot of woodland, just a stone's throw from all amenities (Rouen city center, 5 minutes away by public transport, supermarkets, post office, banks, etc.) and the Normandy coast with Deauville, Trouville, and even closer to Jumièges, Biotropica, and Bocasse. We are eager to help our campers explore the area! Moreover, we are just a few meters' walk from the monumental forest installed in Canteleu until June 2026 – a true delight in the heart of nature. Here, you'll find a friendly atmosphere and we want you to feel comfortable! We offer a space for your tents with garden furniture set up by us, but we can also lend you a 2, 3, or 4-person tent upon reservation. For campervans, we can accommodate two on our gravel driveway. They cannot be parked in the forest. Sorry, breakfast is no longer available! Gamping with us is not only about a feeling of escape and adventure, but also about the experience of meeting friendly and welcoming hosts!

We have four hens that we feed fruit and vegetable peelings, leftover pasta and rice. Their favorite treat: cheese rinds! The rest goes in the compost at the far left of the forest: no cooked food.
Guests who cancel at least 3 days before check-in date will receive a refund of the amount paid by them (excl. Campspace fees). Otherwise they will not be refunded. If the host does not accept the reservation, guests will receive a full refund.
We are located in a quiet, dead-end residential area where the light traffic ensures absolute peace and quiet. We absolutely need the following information: - whether you are camping in a tent or a campervan - your approximate arrival and departure times. Access is available from 9 am to 7 pm to allow you to set up your equipment during the day. Campervans must depart before 10 am. We have space for 6 cars and the same number of sheltered bicycle parking spaces. An access fob can be provided if we don't need it, with a deposit, so you can access your accommodation independently. We are a non-smoking establishment, but we respectfully tolerate the disposal of ashes and cigarette butts in the glass containers we will provide (please ask us for the ashtrays). Waste must be sorted or recycled (compost, plastic packaging, glass, and general household waste). The compost is used to nourish our small vegetable garden located in front of the house! Unfortunately, pets are not allowed, and noise should be kept to a minimum after 10 PM to avoid disturbing the neighbors. Finally, we only communicate in writing.
