About this location

Cyclists and tent campers, horseback riders, and motorhome travelers are welcome to spend the night on our meadows. Traveling light? Our glamping shepherd's wagon sleeps two, while our open-air bed can accommodate one adult, two children, or two couples. We also welcome your dog and horses. The farm is an organic horse boarding facility with approximately 30 hectares of grassland, much of which is protected. We use the hay to feed our small flock of sheep, our own horses, and the horses boarded by our clients. In addition to our four children and our Border Collie, Lou, we also have several cats, chickens, and geese.

The camping meadow is nestled among chestnut and oak trees and is one of our most beautiful pastures, overlooking the Seeve valley. Our red brick farmhouse and the kitchen garden with its geese lie below the meadow. Further down is the alder swamp forest with its hillside spring fens. The Seeve nature reserve is grazed by cows and sheep and occasionally maintained by the farmer. The upper part of our farm, with its sparse pastures, offers the typical heathland sand suitable for horses. Beyond this lies the Lüneburg Heath nature reserve. The nearest heathland areas are approximately 1-3 km away (Inzmühler Heide, Brunsberg, Büsenbachtal, Töps, etc.), and the well-known Wilseder Berg with the tourist center of Undeloh is 11 km away. Other destinations include the Lüneburg Heath Wildlife Park, the Barefoot Park, the Bossard Art Site, and much more. Lüneburg and Hamburg can be reached from Buchholz in 45 minutes by car or train. Right next to the meadow is access to our well water. The farm toilet and bathroom with shower and separate toilet are available day and night. If we are home, we can offer electricity at your pitch, but this will be charged separately. We also offer coaching sessions for teams, families, and individuals on our farm. Feel free to contact us! We look forward to seeing you!

  • Shelter

You'll sleep on a French mattress in a portable wooden bed. There's mosquito netting, but the bed can still be fully opened to the sky – perfect for stargazing. The bed is situated on our most beautiful meadow under fruit trees, overlooking the Seevegrund valley where cows or sheep graze. You'll also have a view of the protected hillside spring moor and the sunset. If you bring your own sleeping bag, you can save on bedding costs – but we also offer a linen package for €10.

Tips

  • In the Büsenbachtal valley, 5 kilometers away, you can stroll along the small stream through the heath, the children play by the river, and you might even encounter the local herd of Heidschnucken sheep...

  • Just walk across the Seeve River and you'll find Café Waldperle. A very nice, unique café on the neighboring farm!

  • The "Schafstall" in Büsenbachtal makes the best cakes in the world. It's true.
