About this location

Welcome to a peaceful grassland in the heart of the Kempen. Rest completely on an open meadow.

FACILITIES
Facilities are limited to a pump with groundwater where you can refresh or do dishes. Note! This is not drinking water. There is also a charming wooden toilet.

BONFIRE
Want to make a fire in the evening? You can do this in a shared fire basket. You must provide your own wood. You can also bring your own fire bowl if you prefer more privacy. Open fires are not permitted.

GAS FIRES/BBQ
Like to cook your own meat or fry an egg in the morning? You can bring your own gas stove or (disposable) barbecue. Caution is advised in dry weather.

NATURE RESERVE
The meadow is within walking distance of the beautiful nature reserve with walking routes through meadows and forests along the water. A little piece of heaven on earth.

RIVER
Warm weather? Book a day of canoeing or kayaking in advance with local organizations. Or cool off at the banks of the Nete, where you can also swim.

LEAVE NO TRACES Together we keep the meadow clean, both for the next guests and certainly for the horses. We use this piece to provide them with hay in the winter months. So don't throw anything on the floor, dog feces should also be cleaned up. Ashtray can be provided for smokers. NOT TO LOUD We ask to take into account any other guests who also come here for the rest. Feel free to come and have a party on request in "the barn", but keep it quiet on the meadow. PARKING On arrival you will receive a number where you can put your tent, car or camper. Please stand in front of the sign (on the mowed area). We do this to avoid damage to the meadow.

Tips

  • The location is located 500m from a beautiful nature reserve where you can cycle or walk to your heart's content. The 14 chapels and the castle of Vorselaar are certainly worth a visit.

  • De Molen van Hool is located on the border between Vorselaar and grobbendonk and also offers beautiful walking routes in a peaceful atmosphere along the water. This is also a drop-off point for kayaks and canoes that can be rented for a fun day out.
