Im offering a very basic and simple camping site (only pitches) of 4000 m2 in the middle of forest, in absolute wilderness, placed right on the border between Italy and Slovenia and full of wildlife including wolfs. Here you can find total solitude and get away from crazyness of todays world, but still remain pretty close to civilization. Whats best is, that its positioned only couple of km from beautiful italian coast (Sistiana) and you can feel and smell the ocean air.
Its an off-grid site, where I actually live with 3 kids and is family friendly. Our house is positioned in the middle of parcel, but its never loud and you will still have your privacy. Some amenities like bath, ice pack freezing, launderette, parent & baby washroom, one shower and one regular toilet are provided inside the house. One compost toilet is placed outside. There are two gravel roads leading to the place. The long one is 3.5km and the short is 1.7km long. Short one is suitable only for slightly higher cars, altho I drive with family sedan on both. The best option is still 4x4, which I also use sometimes. Its off the grid after all. The place has its own filtered rain water and more than enough solar electricity to live as in city. However, the electricity is provided from house with cables. There is a playground for kids, and lots of surrounding activites. Gravel roads inside the forest are perfect for walking, running, biking, horse riding,...and there are lots of them. I mean...lots! Riding a mountain bike to the italian coast shuldnt take you more than 30-45min (7km). There is also lots of caves hiding inside the woods and guess what...you can hear wolfes every evening. You wont miss deers, boars and other living creatures neither.
Slovenian side offers lots of opportunities too. You can go to nearby villages and towns, discover Karsts coulinary, go horse riding, taste some best world wines....and all that in radius of not more than 20-30 km from the camping site.
This is the first time Im offering this place and will upgrade it every season to become a great attraction of this part of Slovenia. My main goal is to make a family friendly off the grid escape and eventually offer some of my own accomodations (big indian tents).
The place is actually really magical... however, bare in mind that in winter there can be some heavy winds.

A great place far from all the noise but a short drive from the sea, and the whole region is beautiful and worth exploring. It was also a convenient place on our way from Italy and to Ljubljana and further to the east.
The place itself is a big yard without incline, you have access to electricity, toilet and water.
How was the contact with the host?
Ales is great as a host and as a person, we talked a lot and he also answered all our trip-related questions, gave recommendations, etc.
Tips for new guests?
The fact that I did that uphill trip on a country road twice and on Toyota Yaris doesn't mean that I wasn't scared to get stuck on my belly or scratch it a couple of times. So be careful coming there on a "small city car". Anything else will drive there without a problem.

What a great adventure! We were very warmly welcomed by Ales and had a fantastic pleasant evening. Ales is very welcoming and caring. Our children had a great time playing with Kiki, the dog, and enjoyed the marshmallows on the barbecue. Thanks!
