About this location

Are you coming to camp in our food forest? A regenerative nursery, food forest, and campsite. We grow trees, shrubs, and plants for edible gardens, food forests, and agroforestry projects. From apple trees to wild strawberries – and everything in between. At our nursery, we are establishing a 1-hectare food forest featuring 14 inspiring example systems. From a romantic food forest and agroforestry strips to a permaculture orchard – a green oasis full of edible plants. In the middle of this food forest, you will find 15 atmospheric camping spots. Choose your ideal spot and stay in a fully equipped Bell tent, bring your caravan or campervan, or pitch your own tent. All camping spots are located by the water, surrounded by edible trees and plants. From your tent, you can enjoy sweeping views of the Boterpolder on one side and the greenery of the nursery on the other. Pick your own breakfast, lunch, or dinner – how fun is that? On the north side of the site, by the monumental windmill, you can walk or cycle straight into the historic Vaardorp Het Rietveld. There, you can join beautiful walking and cycling routes through the quintessential Dutch landscape. Practical info: ✅ The campsite is car-free – you transport your belongings to your pitch using a wheelbarrow. 🏕️ We have two fully equipped Bell tents. 🚐 Due to the peat soil, camping pitches are only suitable for campervans up to 2 tons and caravans up to 6 meters. All tents are welcome! 🚽❌ Please note: There are no facilities for emptying chemical toilets at our campsite. We ask that you take this into account in advance. Dogs are welcome (for a fee) provided they are kept on a leash at all times and there is a maximum of 1 dog per pitch. No dogs are allowed in the Bell tents. 📵 There is no Wi-Fi, but there is a beautiful starry sky. Choose your ideal spot! You can find a map of the campsite in the photos. Work is done in the food forest on Thursdays by an enthusiastic group of volunteers. Would you like to help out sometime? Then you are most welcome!

We are a regenerative nursery that works according to the organic standard. This means that we do not use chemical fertilizers or pesticides. We work together with nature as much as possible!

Cancellation Policy

Guests who cancel at least 14 days before check-in will receive a refund of the amount paid by them (excluding Campspace fees). If they cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, they will receive a 50% refund. Otherwise they will not be refunded. If the host does not accept the reservation, guests will receive a full refund.

Rules

Together we keep it fun. - Dogs are allowed provided they are kept on a leash at all times - Silence after 10pm - Music not allowed, except musical instruments - Parking only in the parking lot - Driving on the terrain with a car is only permitted if a (bus) camper or caravan is placed there.
