About this location

Behind a hedge are two pitches (each approximately 200 sq m) for motorhomes, vans, caravans, etc. It's a mowed meadow that's usually easily accessible. The pitch is for two people! Small families are welcome upon request (depending on availability). The bathroom is the only thing you might encounter. Between the two pitches is a fire pit, which can be used for small, romantic fires, taking care to avoid wind and sparks. Please do not burn wood or deadwood from the hedge. I appreciate everything that's lying and growing there! (You can buy firewood from me very cheaply.) Each pitch has its own sunset bench and a private picnic bench. For the use of one or more of these amenities, I ask for a flat fee of €5 (40 DKK) per night for the coffee fund. (Cash, PayPal, MobilePay) You can use the following services* when I'm home: (*Shared use of my private facilities) - Bathroom (shower, toilet, hairdryer, etc.) - Washing machine, dryer - Microwave, electric hotplate, mini raclette grill - Kettle - Coffee pod machine (I can also provide a pod or two) - Kitchen sink - Freezer/cooler, which I can provide for longer stays upon request and for an additional fee. You can also use the following services when I'm not home: - Electricity at the pitch (Schuko socket) - Drinking water (tap at the house) - Charcoal grill - Camping gas stove - Gas cartridges for the stove, charcoal, briquettes, and firewood are available for purchase. Wetsuits, sails, and other equipment can be hung up to dry in the barn. Mopeds or bicycles can be stored there. Nearby is a small village (Amtoft, 1700 m) with a marina, swimming area, sauna, restaurant, and a small general store where you can find everything you need for daily life. - General store 1700 m - Swimming area with small sauna (see photos) 1700 m - Fish restaurant 1700 m - Windsurfing 1700 m - Thisted 17 km - Petrol station 4500 m. Arrival is possible around the clock by prior arrangement. Please note: As dogs are allowed and I offer two pitches, it is possible that your neighbor may also bring a dog.

  • Swimming pond or river

    The Limfjord, which is inviting for swimming, is about 1700 meters away. The lake visible from the campsite is a nature reserve and may not be entered or swum in.

  • Towels

    If anyone needs a towel or wants to dry theirs, we can solve that problem.

  • Barrier-free access to pitch

    There are no stairs to navigate, however the terrain is only suitable to a very limited extent, e.g. for wheelchair users traveling alone.

Hi! My name is Ralph, I'm a camper myself, and I usually travel around Norway, Sweden, or Finland in my campervan with a rooftop tent. I'm especially happy when I find a really nice, quiet, comfortable, and affordable campsite on my trips! Since moving to Denmark, I can offer the same to other campers. That's why I deliberately only offer a few campsites, provide as much comfort as possible, and don't rip anyone off with my fees.     The entire region offers good to very good surfing conditions, ranging from beginner-friendly or shallow water areas to the surf in the North Sea.

  • Wind sports

    There are hardly any days without wind. Children can, for example, fly their kites on my property.

  • Making a campfire

    There is a shared campfire area for both campsites. (Please do not burn wood or deadwood from the hedge. I am happy to use everything that is lying and growing there!)

  • Wellness and sauna

    In the port of Amtoft (1700 m) there is a small sauna with direct access to the Limfjord. (see photos)

  • Wildlife observation

    The region and the nature reserve are ideal for observing wild birds. Furthermore, a freely accessible birdwatching hide with binoculars is located 300 meters away.
