About this location
In the beautiful province of Varmland on the border of central and southern Sweden, we rent out our fully furnished stugby. (no.6)
As mentioned, the cottage is fully furnished, so you can travel with little luggage (bed linen can be rented locally) for a wonderful stay in the beautiful nature of Sweden.
The cottage is situated on a low hill with beautiful views over the elongated Ovre Brocken lake, along with a number of other cottages. The site on which it is located is part of Värmlands Sjö och Fjäll Camping (formerly Abbasstugby och Camping.)
The owners are our on-site intermediary and the contact regarding the rental and other matters (activities, canoe rental) will go through them.

The cottage is located on the beautiful Ovre Brockenmeer near the town of Vagsjofors.
The larger town of Torsby is 25 km away to the south. (5000inw.) Here are various facilities:
2 large supermarkets, shopping center, cafes, restaurants, indoor cross-country tunnel !, banks, petrol stations, swimming pool, garages, tourist office, etc.
At 5 km distance is a petrol station with a shop for essentials.
The family ski area Hovfjallet with 6 lifts and 15 descents (www.hovfjallet.se) is 7 km away (10 minutes' drive). Not mass tourism here as in the Alps and favorable prices.
The area is ideal for the active nature lover:
summer: swimming, fishing (lake and various rivers), hiking (marked routes on the Hovfjallet), mountain biking (marked routes of 6-80km), horse riding, canoeing, indoor cross-country skiing, surfing.
winter: ice skating, cross-country skiing, skiing, hiking, ice fishing, horse riding, snowmobiling, dog sledding, snowshoeing. Not mass tourism here as in the Alps and favorable prices.
25 km to the north lies the village of Stollet on the famous Klaralven river (rafting, fishing)
The large ski resort Branas is located 60 km away.
There is a moose park in Eksehrad at 60 km.
A bear park is located 80 km away in Orsa.
Charlottenberg with a large shopping mall is 115 km away.
The large city of Karlstad is 150 km away, which is doable for a day out. Since the border with Norway is only a 45-minute drive away, it is also possible to take a day trip to Oslo. (200km).
Prices:
low season: 625 Kr (15/9 - 15/12, 9/1 - 31/1 and the months of March,
April and May.)
high season: 865 Kr
costs for final cleaning are optional and used electricity must be included in the rental price.
NB. pets are not allowed.
In the period from mid-June to mid-August, the rental will be via BURO SCANBRIT. It is advisable to inform them about availability if you would like to stay in our house during this period.
