Welcome to our authentic holiday farm from 1730, and its authentic inhabitants.
What does this mean?
We don't let others influence us. We respond and make choices that feel good.
We find it more important to be ourselves than to be popular.
And so it is with our house. We lovingly hold on to the character and nostalgia of the last 300 years.
Why buy new when there's already so much out there? Everyone's talking about sustainability/climate change/pollution?
Here we try to live with and in nature.
Looking for a few days to get back to basics, get back to nature, unwind, or escape the rat race, with only a cup of tea and a campfire as your only luxuries? Then we warmly welcome you to our mini campsite. Where time stands still for a moment.
We offer spacious, quiet pitches with electricity (PLEASE NOTE: electricity or a cool box are available at an additional cost and must be added to your booking). With a beautiful view in the heart of the Eifel.
On your arrival day, we'll welcome you from 12 noon. Please depart before 12 noon so that the next guests can also start their stay on time.
Because electricity is expensive, we try to minimize it as much as possible. If you still want to use electricity at your pitch, we assume you'll have a heater on in the cold and a fan on in the warm. Therefore, you'll pay €4 per night.
In the recreation area you can charge your mobile phone, etc.
The lawn is our pride and joy, and your carpet. Therefore, please only drive onto the grounds from April 15th to September 15th, weather permitting. We keep weeding to a minimum. This retains moisture and is beneficial for butterflies and bees.
On request you can get a meal at a good price.
Fire is allowed (you must provide your own wood)
Outside, a toilet and washing facility is closed from October 15 to April 15.
In the recreation area, you can use the refrigerator/microwave/coffee maker. From October 15th to April 15th, it is only open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A shower and toilet are available in the old milk room.
The perfect spot for a good, old-fashioned, relaxing holiday. There are cycling and hiking trails.
Tip: Bring binoculars to watch birds and wildlife.
The surrounding villages and towns are easily accessible by bike or car, and we're also centrally located for day trips to Gerolstein, Bitburg, and other villages in the Eifel region. Trier is an hour's drive away; a good tip is to visit the Karl Marx Museum.
Take your time to look around. If you have any questions, please contact us. We'll figure it out together.
Have fun on your holiday!
Note from our dog
Once or twice a day, I see the mischievous (deaf;) playful shepherd dog storming the campsite. I can't stand being walked on a leash for a whole season; I haven't learned, so it's not my fault.
I too love my freedom. What's my name? You'll find out soon enough when my owner calls me again (they think I'm deaf), but I simply love being outside and among people and dog friends. SEE YOU SOON
