About this location

🌤️ Attention! For your comfort, the campsite will be partially closed during heatwaves. The south-facing meadow gets too sunny in the afternoons! However, you are still welcome if it's just for one night or if you'll be away for the afternoon. We would be delighted to welcome you warmly and share this corner of nature that we love so much. Our house and garden are located in a charming village of 300 inhabitants, nestled in the heart of the Moselle forests, on the edge of the Vosges Mountains. The village is off the beaten track, on a dead-end road: here, peace and quiet reign supreme. 🏡THE LOCATION / We welcome you to an open meadow, with our small wooded area at the far end of the property, itself bordered by the Saint-Quirin state forest (over 4,000 hectares, a Natura 2000 site and wildlife reserve). 🌲 Just a short walk away, forest paths lead to Saint-Quirin, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, and to the mysterious Fairy Rock. 🦌 Here, you might spot deer, squirrels, green woodpeckers, and sometimes even a fox in the early morning. 🌄 The views of the Vosges mountain ridges and the sunsets over the clearings offer a daily spectacle. This is our second year hosting guests, and we will gradually improve the grounds and our facilities. We have plans! 🛠️ FACILITIES AND SERVICES 🚰 Drinking water available (outdoor tap) ⚡ Electricity: €2.50 per day 🚽 Access to toilets, shower (shared with the owners), and the owners' washing machine (💧 Washing machine: €2, detergent included) 🔥 Barbecue available upon request 🥚 Fresh eggs and, in season, salads and vegetables from the garden available 🐦 Land classified as an LPO Refuge (League for the Protection of Birds) 🍽️ SERVICES BY RESERVATION: 🥐 Breakfast 🍽️ Evening meal 👉 By prior reservation, subject to availability. 🌿 THE SETTING AND SURROUNDINGS 🌳 Majestic forests, birdsong, and sometimes… a roaming deer. A paradise for hikers and dreamers! 🥾 GR® and PR marked trails, passionately maintained by the Club Vosgien 🚴‍♂️ Mountain bike circuits, themed walks, breathtaking viewpoints • Places steeped in history: Guillaume cross, old castle, Gallo-Roman site… • And sometimes… the simple pleasure of walking in silence, to the rhythm of the wind in the branches. Varied mountain bike circuits, accessible right from the property 🏞️ Lake and tourist train in Abreschviller (2.2 km) 🔥 Perfect for a wild, peaceful getaway in the heart of nature 🤝 GOOD TO KNOW: 🐾 we accept pets if they are sociable with other dogs, cats and chickens! (We have 2 dogs, 2 cats and 5 free-range chickens…) 🕙 Please respect the peace and quiet of the village and do not disturb the neighbors after 10 pm 🔥 Ground fires are not allowed (barbecues only)
