About this campspace

Just across the border from Overijssel, near rest point 27, in Drenthe, there is a small farmhouse on an unpaved path, at Paardelanden 15, dating from around 1910.

The farm is a wonderful base for cycling or walking routes or just relaxing in the silence of the Reestdal.

My target group is: hikers (with their tent) who are passing through or want to relax for a day.

There is a Rest Point in the yard. With many spacious and private places to relax. There are possibilities to charge the bicycle and/or telephones and there is WiFi on the entire site.

Resting place: At this place, you can use the coffee machine and kettle. Here you will also find information about the area and all kinds of handmade products / gifts.

Toilet and shower are located in the main building, which you can also use.

On beautiful summer evenings I would be happy to light a fire pit for you and you can enjoy a delicious beer tasting with beers from the region. If the weather does not allow you to sit outside, take a seat in my (pub). I'd be happy to turn on the wood stove for you!

Ideal for bon vivants, nature lovers, 'plant tractors'… who also like to live minimalistic close to nature on 'the outside' without frills. Also ideal for bush crafters. Not intended for campers who move their entire belongings with them…

Hospitable reception in a fantastic place!
You will experience the peace and space at this beautiful location. We had booked a room on our 'bikepacking' journey and were warmly welcomed by Gea. Because this is also a Rest Point, there are several places where you can sit quietly. The breakfast was generous and delicious!
In the evening we sat by the fire pit and enjoyed a nice beer!

How was the contact with the host?
Gea is a hospitable and pleasant host. Communication during booking and during our stay went well.
We had a nice chat at the fire pit when we came back from dinner in the evening.

Tips for new guests?
The area is good for cycling.
