About this location

Just across the border from Overijssel, near rest point 27, in Drenthe, lies a small farmhouse on an unpaved path at Paardelanden 15, dating from around 1910.

The farm is an excellent base for cycling or walking routes, or simply relaxing in the peace of the Reestdal.

My target guests are: trekkers (with their tent) passing through or wanting to recover for a day.

On the grounds you'll find a Rest point with plenty of spacious, private spots to enjoy. There are facilities to charge bikes and/or phones, and WiFi covers the entire site.

Rest point area: Here you can use the coffee machine and kettle. You'll also find information about the area and various handmade products and gifts.

Toilets and showers are in the main building, which you're welcome to use.

On beautiful summer evenings I'm happy to light a fire pit for you, and you can enjoy a lovely local beer tasting. If the weather doesn't permit outdoor seating, settle in by my fireplace in the on-site pub area. I'll gladly light the wood stove for you!

Ideal for life enthusiasts, nature lovers, 'wanderers'… who enjoy living minimally close to nature in the countryside without frills. Also perfect for bushcrafters. Not suitable for campers moving their entire household…
