About this location

A rustic trekkershut
Our converted 5m × 5m old barn is a back-to-basic overnight shelter for hikers, cyclists, and adventurers.
Don't expect pristine luxury — this is authentic nature accommodation for true nature lovers!
Bring your own bedding; we provide 2 double mattresses. A double bed upstairs and a convertible sofa bed downstairs are available. We can set up a travel crib for children upon request. Basic cooking equipment (pots, pans, plates, cutlery, coffee machine, etc.) is provided.

Surroundings
In the Kempen region (Grobbendonk, hamlet Eisterlee), you can spend days enjoying the forested landscape, meadows, and beautiful rivers—the kleine Nete and De Aa. Swim or paddle a canoe here.
Various hiking and cycling waypoints launch scenic routes toward water, forest, and nearby cities (Lier, Herentals, Antwerp, …).
For local walks, the Pidpabos or old forest are just outside the door, or cycle around the Nete. Nearby nature reserves like Lovenhoek, Viersel gebroekt, and Schupleer are highly recommended.
Children enjoy the farm play area in the village.
After a full day, watch deer at dusk from the trekkershut or settle by the wood stove or campfire with a local craft beer.

Cancellation Policy

Guests who cancel at least 14 days before check-in will receive a refund of the amount paid by them (excluding Campspace fees). If they cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, they will receive a 50% refund. Otherwise they will not be refunded. If the host does not accept the reservation, guests will receive a full refund.

Rules

No enclosed garden, so please keep your dog close to you or on a leash. Quiet hours start at 22:00. Please leave the accommodation clean (tidy upstairs, wash dishes, sweep, empty ashes from the stove, etc.). Thank you! If you prefer not to clean, we can do it for an extra fee.
