Wake up in nature and enjoy the sunrise, the birds, the geese and perhaps the bellowing of a cow.

Between the ditches and the meadows, behind a number of trees and shrubs, there is a sheltered piece of grassland with a beautiful view of the polder. You can pitch your tent on this. There is no running water, no electricity, poor telephone coverage and a toilet 300 meters away.

After you have had the overnight stay, you can decide for yourself what the compensation is.

Check-in and check-out on Sundays is not possible.

I was here alone, on my bike and with the tent.

The camping field is about 150 meters from the house under construction on a beautiful grass area of about 30 x 30 meters, demarcated by trees and ditches. Enough space for maybe a hundred tents, but you are only allowed to stand there with a maximum of five people (one family with children). In short, lots of peace and privacy.

Dirk and Janneke have a sweet young dog, Luna, who also came to take a look. He has a really nice place to run here. You see and hear mainly birds. There are also ponies and sheep.

It's not as quiet as a mouse: work went on until 10 pm and you can hear cars from the nearby road. But I didn't find that disturbing.

The facilities are basic: a construction toilet and an outside tap, both at the house. So bring a water bag or something.

How was the contact with the host?
The host is friendly and communicates clearly.

A unique camping spot, lined with water and trees, between the meadows and with a beautiful view of the sunset and all kinds of birds.

How was the contact with the host?
I was kindly received by hostess. The host came to meet us after work and we had a nice chat about small things.

Tips for new guests?
Especially suitable for those who want to get away from it all for a while and don't want to be on a busy campsite.

We had a lovely quiet night in Dirk and Janneke's meadow. Completely secluded from all the hectic and between the animals on our own private island.

You will find this beautiful campspace in the middle of the meadows. A patch of grass surrounded by water. Your own island! Suitable for a night back to basics. From your tent you can view all kinds of birds and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view.

The house is easy to reach and beautifully situated.

How was the contact with the host?
The contact with Dirk and Janneke was very good. We were kindly received and given a nice tour.

Tips for new guests?
It is quite close to a road so if you are a light sleeper earplugs are recommended. We were not bothered by it.
