Welcome to our "Garden of Eden"! Above the wine village of Leutesdorf on the Lower Middle Rhine, you'll find yourself on a fenced meadow in the woods 🌳, right next to our fallow deer enclosure. You can observe these friendly animals up close and even feed them with us. When has a deer ever eaten out of your hand? Here, you can experience it! At our campsite, you'll find unparalleled peace and deep relaxation amidst nature. Depending on the season, you can harvest a variety of untreated fruit from our orchard, which we'll charge you for by weight, or you can help us with the harvest and receive a share of the harvested fruit in return. In our small farm shop, you can stock up on our regionally renowned handmade jams and fruit liqueurs. If you'd like, you can also help us with the hay harvest or other tasks for a few hours. As a reward, you'll enjoy a hearty snack afterwards 😊. A vast hiking area 🥾 stretches directly from our "Garden of Eden." The popular Rheinsteig hiking trail, offering magnificent views of the Rhine Valley, runs directly below our wildlife enclosure. Two popular restaurants, the Edmundhütte and the Brombeerschenke, are within easy walking distance, both boasting breathtaking panoramic views of the Rhine Valley and the Eifel region. The idyllic wine village of Leutesdorf, nestled in the valley, is also within walking distance. Here you can replenish your wine supplies and enjoy a meal at one of the traditional wine taverns. Leutesdorf is known for its popular wine events, such as the Emmaus Walk on Easter Monday, the Wine Experience in the vineyards on Mother's Day, the "Dining by the River" wine picnic in August, and the Winegrowers' Festival in September. Other tourist attractions include the world's largest cold-water geyser opposite Leutesdorf on the other side of the Rhine and the Roman World in Rheinbrohl, where the Roman Limes once began. The "Kristall-Rheinbad-Therme" brine thermal baths in Bad Hönningen are also well-known and popular, where you can pamper yourself completely. As you can see, you won't get bored here anytime soon! Your pitch is fenced and private. Electricity ⚡️ for charging batteries and accumulators (not a permanent connection) and fresh water (via canister) are available for a fee. Your toilet should be on board. Waste disposal stations are located nearby in Bad Hönningen, Neuwied, and Andernach. After booking, please provide us with your email address and let us know when you expect to arrive. We will then send you directions, as our pitch isn't easy to find, even with coordinates and address! For spontaneous bookings, you must arrive by 6:00 PM! In this case, please be sure to call us! Important: Your vehicle must not be longer than 8 meters (exception: caravans), otherwise you won't be able to turn the corner to the entrance. Since 2023, the municipality has levied a tourist tax of €1.50 per guest per day, which I am required to forward to the relevant authorities. You pay the tourist tax to us on site. After booking, please provide us with your email address and let us know your expected arrival time. We will then send you directions, as our campsite is not so easy to find, even with coordinates and address! For spontaneous bookings, your arrival must be before 6:00 PM! Our "Garden of Eden" is open for you from the end of March to the beginning of November 2026. We look forward to your visit! 🤗 Heike & Jörg Gerlich

We, Heike & Jörg, retired from the big city of Düsseldorf 15 years ago, gave up our previous jobs and started a new life in the country. Today we make fine jams by hand, manage an orchard and look after a friendly herd of fallow deer. We look forward to letting our guests share in our life close to nature! Heike & Jörg
