We had a fantastic experience! If you don't mind to go back to basic (no water, shower) and don't mind to walk a few minutes to a public toilet you will have a good stay. Especially with good weather. The view is awesome and its very close to Dragor, the geese and Søbad (great for a swim). Only 25 minutes drive to central Copenhagen.

A little bit hard to find the bunker at first but what a surprise if you have found it. Don't forget to bring everything (matrasses, bedding, chairs, cooking equipment). There is a fridge and waterboiler. The shelter was great but smoke stays inside which makes it difficult to sit inside by the fire.

We would definitely stay here again, we loved this unique experience!

Most likely the best sea view around Copenhagen. 180 Degree view over Øresund with the bridge to Sweden. Impossible not to wind down and relax. The Shelter looks like an old ammo depot, made of concrete with 4 low wooden beds. There's a small fridge and a water boiler. Just outside the shelter is the iron taming turret which still have the small embrasures providing a clear line of sight along the moat. This taming turret is where the fire pit is, with 4 large logs to sit on. The Shelter is in a private closed off part of the fort, so very private.

How was the contact with the host?
The initial contact was quick and precise. When we arrived we met Louise who handles the shelter. Louise showed us where the various facilities were and made us feel very welcome.

Tips for new guests?
Try out Cafe Siam, less than 100 meters from the shelter. Great Thai food!! If the wind is South South/west the smoke from the fire stays inside the turret, so you might want to bring a Trangia or similar if you want to cook your own food.
