About this location

Nestled among the meadows near Tijnje, our beautiful garden is a delightful place to relax. A few years ago, we traded our life in Rotterdam for life in the countryside. As a young family, we are now thoroughly enjoying life here and experience a permanent holiday feeling! We love sharing our little paradise with others! The garden is both spacious and intimate. There are glimpses of the meadows, seating areas with views, and you might even spot a deer! Enjoy playing on the lawn or the playground equipment, or relaxing in the shelter of "the forest garden." We have various spots for tent camping to choose from. There are shady and sunny spots. Small tents, large tents, everything fits. You can enjoy roasting marshmallows over the fire pit or fire barrel. Electricity and water are available outside. You can use the bathroom in our home (on the ground floor) at set times. You can take a look at the beehives. Rest assured, they fly out towards the meadow and collect their nectar from the surrounding pasture! If you like, you can also book a "tutoring lesson" or workshop. For example, make your own lip balm with beeswax. Our property is located almost a kilometer outside the village, on a cycling route network. The De Deelen nature reserve is just around the corner. The area was created through peat extraction. You can walk there through a mosaic of water, reeds, grasslands, and sometimes over boardwalks through small marshy woodlands. In our surroundings, you can enjoy plenty of cycling, walking, and running along country lanes and bike paths. We are situated on various walking and cycling routes. There is navigable water at the end of the street. The cozy outdoor swimming pool in Tijnje is within cycling distance. Tijnje is known for no fewer than two cheese farms you can visit featuring famous cheeses: De Tynjetaler and Riperkrite. Larger towns like Heerenveen and Drachten are a 15-minute drive away and have all the facilities you need.
