Our farm is located in a quiet spot in Wenum, on the edge of Vaassen. Close to the Crown Domain, Paleis 't Loo, the Apenheul, beautiful cycling routes and within walking distance of the clog path. You can set up your tent with us in one of our meadows between the ponies. Or spend the night in a gypsy wagon or in our caravan. You can pick fresh mint for a nice cup of tea. You can also play a game with us. We have various games and books (mini library) Of course you can also just enjoy nature. In our clog shed we have a toilet and shower. We also have a microwave, oven, kettle and coffee maker available. You can possibly charge your phone here. Outside we also have one electric point. You camp with us on a meadow between the ponies, we do not have fixed spots with electricity and water facilities. We do not have WiFi and the telephone range can also be disappointing. Well, that's what we call going back to nature! If the weather permits, you can make a fire on the designated fire pits. Bring your own firewood, we no longer sell firewood. Every day you see birds of prey here and if you are lucky the storks are in the meadow, or you see an owl. Hares sit here in the meadow and sometimes you see a group of deer at dusk. I haven't managed to spot it yet, but the tie seems to come by here very often. So does the fox, which is why the chickens and our rabbit have to be locked up. The canal is within walking distance, you can cast a fishing rod here. We live on a gravel road, not a real through road. So if you opt for Peace, Space and Respect for nature, then you have come to the right place. De Flesse farm in Wenum.

Hi, hi, I'm Yolanda. While maintaining the old-fashioned character of the farm, I want to breathe new life into the farm where I was born. In the way that suits me. Organically and with respect for nature, I try to become as self-sufficient as possible. I call it agrarian new style. Small-scale, mixed and living together with nature.

Had two wonderful days with Jolanda. Seriously spent the night among the Shetland ponies in a nice gypsy wagon. Had breakfast and dinner on the mini veranda. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. And in the gypsy wagon there was everything to sleep and sit for a while.

It was amazing! We stayed for 2 days during our bicycle tour. Wonderful nature, tranquility and lots of animals: horses, ponies, dogs (we played around 4 hours with one of them - such a smart and cute dog!), chickens, a cat, storks on the fields... We enjoyed our stay hier and would like to come back and spend more time in this beautiful place.

There is a lot of activity in this area. We can recommend to visit Apeldoorn (8 km on the bike) and take a ride on the real steam locomotive (search: "Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij") to the city of Beekbergen and back. It's worth it!

Picked up my sister with my camper and off we went. The location is fantastic. Jolanda let us decide for ourselves which field we wanted to be on. Of course we chose the two ponies. What wonderfully sweet animals, and how nice it is to be among them. The peace, the silence apart from the birds and the horses, it is wonderful. And… what sweet dogs!! We enjoyed the ball toss. If you don't want to, the dog will be called back, but we liked it. We made use of the nice oven in the kitchen for fresh bread rolls. Sanitary is clean, shower is nice, if I have to criticize: the shower room for your dry clothes is a bit small. But that's the only thing for me. We have boated, have relaxed, walked on the clog path, and have our eyes full on the land of the camping / farm. So much love and respect for the environment. Would love to come back!

What a lovely campsite! Our children enjoyed the pony next to the tent. They could cuddle and brush all day long. Also the view of the other ponies and horses was nice.
But it is also a wonderful place for people who are less fond of horses: away from the crowds, but with plenty of fun things to do in the area (the climbing forest near Apeldoorn is a must!).
Jolanda is a very nice host and very hospitable. And the toilet/shower building is fully equipped: microwave, kettle, coffee maker, thermos flasks, games and books.

Together with my three sisters we spent two nights at Boerderij de Flesse. We stood with our tents in the pony country where Pluk the pony roamed around quietly. Lovely place. All peace and quiet and a nice atmosphere. Glad we could use the fridge and charge our phones. The shower, toilet and kitchenette are in one room. Where you can also get and buy crockery, pans and all kinds of goodies. Ideal that there is! The pizza oven and making a campfire completed the adventure.

We stayed with our family for four nights at this mini campsite. It was wonderful for us because there is peace,
space and conviviality. There are good, neat facilities in a space behind the house including sanitary facilities, but also a fully equipped kitchen that you can use. Our tents were in half a meadow to ourselves. Our 10-year-old daughter loved the sweet dogs and the pony she got to brush and braid. There is a fire pit, pizza oven and bbq that you can take. Jolanda wants to make you feel comfortable and likes to share about farm life and the environment in a cozy and pleasant way. The area is beautiful and varied, plenty to do!

We stood on a field with the ponies around us. One of the older ponies was grazing between the tents. Especially if you have small children a great place. But it was also good for us. Nice shower and toilet. Kitchen unit with microwave and small oven. Handy to put the bake-off bread rolls in on Sunday morning. And the bad weather room to still be able to eat instead of our small tent. Since we had just put our tent on an ant nest, we got the necessary ants with eggs and all in the tent. That was a bit less, but Jolanda was kind enough to offer us the pippo car that was not rented out at that time.
How was the contact with the host?
Jolanda is a sweet nice hospitable woman full of information about everything there is to do in the area and on the farm. You only have to ask and she will be there for you. Thank you Jolanda for your hospitality. There is still a lot to do, but with your energy and enthusiasm it will become an even more beautiful place than it already is. We would like to come back again
Tips for new guests?
Bakery and supermarket are in Vaasen (2-3 Km). Albert Hein in Apeldoorn was not such a success. The bicycle places were packed and you are not allowed to park your bicycle anywhere on pain of a fine of 40 euros. We were initially summoned to put the bicycles in the parking garage, but with a bicycle with 2*5 panniers this is not really convenient. After insisting that one of us would stay with the bicycles so that the other could do the shopping, I was allowed to stand. You can easily reach the forest from the campsite, where we especially saw many boars.

Together with 2 friends I booked a night with Jolanda in the safari tent. We had a great time!
We were received super friendly and hospitable by Jolanda. She gave us a tour of the grounds and explained everything. It was great that the tent, including the air mattresses, were already ready. It is a spacious tent with 3 sleeping places. All we really had to do was unfold our sleeping bag and put down the pillows.
There is a pizza oven where we baked our homemade pizzas. We didn't really know how it worked, but Jolanda helped us with this.

After a long day of hiking, with our backpacks on our back, we arrived in the pouring rain at Jolandas. Despite the downpour, she came to greet us personally and showed us the way to the caravan. There we were allowed to dry up first and wait for the rain to stop, so that we could put up our tents dry. In the caravan was a kettle and tea ready, and we were allowed to use the games that were there especially for guests. After the worst rain was over, we set up our tent between the meadows with horses. What a rest and space on this Campspace, with the sounds of the horses in the background. The next day we were sent on our way just as warmly as we were welcomed.

The host was great. We were nicely received and gives tips about the area where necessary (cycling routes, lakes to swim) Lovely place between the horses. The tent was ready, and we could have a BBQ right away. Around the loo it’s beautiful for cycling and walking. Also being able to make a campfire, all in all a great stay.
