  • A walk/hike around the Rogozen ponds, a true bird sanctuary, with free-roaming herds, wide open spaces, far from mass tourism. What a pleasure!!!

  • In the sweltering heat, what a treat! Cooling off, swimming or picnicking on the banks of the Ogosta river a few kilometers from Rogozen.

  • The markets of Butan or Krushovitsa will immerse you in Bulgarian rural life, local produce, animals...

  • Two local grocery stores/bars are a 2 and 5 minute walk from the house :)
