About this location

LOCATION: arriving by car or bike: Lisbon - Algarve, following the road IC1, after passing Ourique, and Aldeia de Palheiros, turn left onto Campo de Guerreiros. You will see the old workshop "auto peres" on your left, follow by an old road, about 3km. (please send email for full location)
By public transport you can come to Ourique with Rede Expressos (bus) , or Train to Funcheira and ask our ride here.We are in a very quiet place without cars. We have two wells with water that can use for bathing and a river that is with running water until June. The landscape is typical of the Lower Alentejo. We distant 45 minutes from the Alentejo coast's and the same from Algarve cost. We respect Harmony with Nature, so we ask you to interfere as little as possible with this place. You can camp in an area of 1 hectar. The area of the garden is very welcoming, is where is the well. If you wish you can join us at mealtimes, which are always vegetarian.

RicaVida is a community of theoretical and practical research for the reunion between culture and nature, in a context of transition from ignorant consumerism and unconscious exploitation of resources to sustainable consumption and autonomous production.
We intend to implement measures to regenerate ecosystems and increase biodiversity. It is our aim to raise awareness about natural values. We want to be a model of biodiversity, an example of regeneration of the Alentejo forest.
