About this location

There are 5 tent pitches at this location and one near the waterstream, plus 1 spacious belltent on a wooden platform that can accommodate up to 5 ppl. You will have access to all the camp’s facilities: outdoor shower&toilets, outdoor kitchen, with wooden stove and bbq area, tap water, mountain spring water, lounge area and private swimming spots. For the campervans, you will need to call in advance to make sure there are free spots available. The road is paved all along the way and very good, so you can also visit the spot with a van or a campervan. In the campsite we have only 2 spots available, but you can park for free up on the road, at 2min walk from us. The views are amazing and you will be very close to an ancient cave called Huda lui Papara. Many Hiking trails start  from there and go up on the mountain, you have two restaurants near by, an outdoor kitchen to prepare the meals yourself and several other lounge spaces to share with all the other guests.

Rules

The space is accessible only by 4x4 car, but we provide transport if needed. You can enjoy the whole area around, you have a forest, hiking trails, springs, an ancient cave and many more surprises, just down the road. There is a safe parking spot at about 500m from the location, you have a hotel and restaurant at about 15min walk, fresh spring water and occasionally, fresh milk and eggs from local farms.

Tips

  • Get to visit the largest and most spectacular cave from Trascau Mountains, that is said to have some links with Dracula himself. It has the largest bat colony in Eastern Europe

  • You get the best view of the area, right from your front yard. As a bonus, you also get to watch the most incredible night sky, straight from the hammock or even from your bed

  • The closest shop is 5km away, but you have 3 restaurants and pensions near by

  • There is one big restaurant very close to the location and another one near the cave

  • There is a beautiful cafe near the cave
