About this campspace

Camp in our large garden in Cambridge. We are 5 miles from the city centre in a beautiful location overlooking fields. Close to  a supermarket and excellent transport links to the city. We can provide bike or e scooter hire (subject to availability- please let us know when you book). Camping spaces are in our back garden are on flat grass. We have lots of room for tents and can accommodate a camper van or 2. We have a shelter with cooking facilities and free tea and coffee. You can have a fire. We will even bake you a fresh croissant for breakfast.

The garden is right next to a railway and there is a small train every 30 minutes throughout the day but not overnight. It is noisy but brief.  Guests may use our downstairs bathroom and shower when we are at home, and we also have a composting toilet outside for overnight.

Nice place with hospitable family

How was the contact with the host?
Faye responded quickly and kindly. She was very hospitable on site.

Tips for new guests?
Go to Cambridge by bike.
Bring ear plugs because of the passing train. We had no further problems; a short train twice an hour and not at night.

Wonderfully camped in the garden of Railway Cottage, a former, beautifully converted signalman's house, so really on the track. The train was indeed no problem. A large Tesco around the corner (5 minutes by bike) was very practical.

How was the contact with the host?
Faye and Simon were super helpful and welcoming. Every morning there was a croissant waiting for us.

It was our first time camping with Campspace and it was a good experience. The pitch was great. The facilities were good. The train was not a big deal. The store was within walking distance. A very good place to go to Cambridge by bus.

How was the contact with the host?
Faye and Simon are very kind people. They took good care of us. We could use the downstairs bathroom and each morning Faye made us croissants with locally made jam. Faye and Simon also helped us with the bus and train to London. Again, very nice and kind people.

Tips for new guests?
The are some facilities for cooking, tea and coffee. When it rains you can sit dry and play a game.

It was so so lovely to camp in the garden of Faye and Simon. It was my first campspace experience and definitely a good one! 😊They are both such kind, warm and caring persons. They made sure I had everything I needed!
I could use a bike from them to go to Cambridge or to a neighboring village to do a beautiful hike.

How was the contact with the host?
We ate every time together, also with their 4 sons, we had a lovely fire and some beautiful conversations! It was really a great pleasure to be here!
Also the garden is so so beautiful. I saw squirrels, pheasant and a lot of birds! Even when it's only 20minutes with the bicycle from Cambridge, you really feel like you are in nature.

Tips for new guests?
I would definitely recommend this place and I feel so blessed that my road brought me here!!
Lots of love
