Tiny House
Escape the hustle and discover a secluded private paradise in the heart of nature.
In the evenings, enjoy a crackling wood fire while you relax completely under a clear starry sky. During the day, you wake up to birdsong and views of the open landscape.
Just 5 minutes from the Belgian border and easily accessible from Brussels and Wallonia, perfect for a weekend getaway or a longer nature break.
The location is in the French Ardennes, in the countryside.
Escape the city and find peace in this private paradise. You might even spot beavers in the area!
* Private pond for swimming or traditional fishing.
* Back to basics: composting toilet and ecological water system; use bio-soap and shampoo.
* No WiFi, to fully relax and recharge.
* Views of 1 hectare of grassland with sheep and chickens.
* Breathtaking sunsets and a magnificent starry sky.
* 3 Tiny Houses completely private: one for sleeping, one with living kitchen and sanitary facilities, one with wood stove.
* Wood fire pleasure inside the wood stove or outside in the outdoor fireplace.
Expect ladybugs on your pillow and roosters with their chickens around the cabin - they were here first after all! :-)
Don't expect modern kitchen gadgets and certainly don't expect everything to fit...
We, Ronald and Lucia, collect all sorts of things and create something new from them. You'll often discover a pile of wood somewhere or perhaps an old bathtub, ready to be used in a new space.
Under the large beech hedge, next to the sheep and chicken enclosures, you'll find a special spot for life enthusiasts.
A village just for you:
* Sleeping cabin with comfortable double bed, wool blanket and electric heater.
* A cabin with living kitchen and sanitary facilities, furnished with various secondhand finds we couldn't resist. Including infrared heater and hot water shower.
* Small cabin with wood stove, perfect for crackling fire and cozy evenings.
Step out of bed and into nature!
Here you'll find the private pond 500 meters away, for swimming, traditional fishing, spotting beavers or picking blackberries. Walk through the Parc Naturel Régional des Ardennes, listen to birds or simply enjoy the view over the grassland with sheep and chickens.
On the property we are almost completely self-sufficient: composting toilet, organic shampoo and soap, and minimal impact on the environment. Everything to make your stay quiet, relaxing and natural.
If you want to venture out, there are local excursions such as the fortified town of Rocroi, the Meuse near Charleville-Mézières or the wilderness of the Ardennes with all its adventures.
Children are very welcome (bring your own tent), and well-trained dogs or horses can be discussed, but always on a leash due to the cats, sheep and chickens on the property.
A harmonious, cozy place where you can be completely yourself, to enjoy simplicity, nature and slow living.

🎈🎈 - The infrared panel (on the right, with the photo of trees) can remain on during cold periods, even at night. Heating the room takes a very long time. Please do not hang anything over it. - Could you please put all food in the fridge or the lunchbox? There is a family of mice behind the kitchen, near the hay, and if they don't smell food, they won't come into the kitchen. - There are two waste bins: a metal one next to the stove for cardboard, cans, plastic, and paper. And a second one next to the fridge for everything else. You can put glass somewhere separate. Green waste (without rice, pasta, etc.) for the compost can optionally go in the colored plastic bin, which is on top of the cupboard. - Could you please only put the tea lights in the holders? Not loose, due to fire hazard. - The oven is not in use. - You cannot use the BBQ on the terrace, but you can use it near the outdoor fireplace. Due to fire hazard. - We provide wood for the evening hours. We will replenish the wood the following day. - Please only urinate while sitting on the toilet. For your bowel movements, the paper can go in the bucket, followed by a layer of sawdust (in the small yellow bucket) on top. The bottle (next to the bucket) contains water that you can use to flush away your urine. We will come and change the toilet every other night. - The water is drinkable, but it contains a lot of chlorine. - In the kitchen, there is a light switch behind the curtain, by the door. The lamp above the kitchen worktop turns on with the white plug. The lamp above the table in the kitchen has a separate switch. 🙏🤗
