About this location

Large garden of 2,500 m² that underwent a metamorphosis in 2022 from a lush green lawn, transformed by a robotic mower into a rolling garden with predominantly native vegetation. You also receive a swimming pond with a deck for a delightful swim and to enjoy the swallows flying overhead. There is a shower by the swimming pond, where the water is heated by the sun. In the summer, you can enjoy fresh eggs, raspberries, berries, and all other fruit as soon as it is ripe. Electricity and water are available. A composting toilet is available on the premises upon request. You only need to bring your own toilet paper. There are one, sometimes two, young Flat-Coated Retrievers roaming our grounds. They are enthusiastic, will love to greet you, and play ball with you. Your dog(s) are certainly welcome if they are sociable with other dogs. Come and enjoy!

There is a large walnut tree on the grounds that provides shade; there are parasols by the seating areas.

If they cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, they will receive a 50% refund. Otherwise they will not be refunded. If the host does not accept the reservation, guests will receive a full refund.

Welcome! I'm Lien and I'd love to share my beautiful native garden with you. I'm convinced that sharing together makes the world more beautiful.
In my garden you have access to electricity and drinking water. There's also a swimming pond with a shower in summer, where the water is heated by the sun.
There are various seating areas, a hammock and a fire pit where you can enjoy the sunset in the evening.
Depending on the length of stay (max 3 days), I ask a small fee for firewood use (€5/heating day), as I have to buy it myself too ;).
I'm straightforward and like to find practical solutions: impossible doesn't exist.

Tips

  • There are several cycle routes in the area. Towards the south the terrain becomes more undulating, towards the north it remains flat.

  • There's a bakery around the corner. A farm shop is 3 km away. Supermarkets are about 3-5 km away and easily accessible by car or bicycle.

  • The Sittard market, where several restaurants and bars are located, is 5 km away.

  • Just 3 km from my home, you'll find the Limbricht Castle Estate. Here you can enjoy a hearty meal, including Limburg pie, lunch, or a hot meal.
