About this location

Our lovely spot is located at the end of an unpaved path, right next to a wildlife sanctuary. There is a beautiful view. You can also walk straight into the forest. In early 2026, the wildlife sanctuary next to us will be redeveloped, meaning even more wildlife diversity is expected. We are about a 20-minute drive from Utrecht. By bike, it takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to Utrecht through beautiful surroundings. Our grounds are situated right next to the forest and are mostly open; you can take a spot at the very back of the meadow with a view over the sanctuary. There is a good chance of spotting roe deer or a fox here. The grass may be a bit taller if the farmer hasn't mowed our meadow yet. We do not mow it like a standard campsite. Would you prefer a mowed area or a more paved spot? That is also possible, in which case you will be situated more in the middle of our grounds. It is a site without (electricity/water) facilities, although you are welcome to use our toilet if you do not have your own. We live at the front of the grounds ourselves, but you will not be bothered by us much, if at all. We have two horses and a few bantam chickens. The motorway and a train are faintly audible; we do not live right next to them, but with certain wind directions, you can hear them in the background. There are more than enough cycling, walking, and bridle paths across the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. From our yard, you can walk straight into the forest (also on horseback; if you wish to bring your horse, that is possible). Just cycle back to the paved road, and from there you can head in any direction, through both the woods and more open countryside.

Hey!
I am Marieke and I live with my husband, son Moos (2022) and daughter Jente (2025). We love traveling, semi-active outdoor life and good food. Just enjoying life.
I myself have traveled a lot in various ways around the world. Since we have children we are looking a bit closer to home, there is also so much beauty here. And we like to let people enjoy our nice place.
