About this location

To all those seeking peace and quiet, those looking to unwind, and nature lovers: welcome to our nature glamping site 't Wijland. A tranquil and connecting spot within walking distance of the 't Burreken nature reserve in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes. Here, we, Lies and Morgan, live in an old farmhouse with our chickens and ducks, striving to live more slowly, consciously, and self-sufficiently, in harmony with the land that surrounds us. During the summer months (mid-June - mid-Sept), we're happy to share our beautiful spot with those seeking peace and quiet and nature lovers. Here, you can dream away under the stars in a wonderfully comfortable double bed in one of our two luxury glamping tents (minimum 2 nights, book through Booking.com), or you can camp in your own tent on a flat lawn surrounded by lush greenery. One glamping tent is nestled amidst the vibrant color of our vibrant flower meadow with its adjacent orchard and fire circle, while the other nomad tent is nestled amidst an edible oasis in our newly planted food forest, complete with an adjacent perma-vegetable garden and intimate willow hut. Whether you choose to glamp or camp, you'll enjoy all the amenities. Each guest has their own unique sleeping space, but all areas are accessible to everyone. The food forest features a cozy covered outdoor kitchen with a dining and sitting area. It includes a gas stove and refrigerator, all pots and pans, a coffee maker, kettle, sink, glasses, plates, and cutlery. Coffee and tea, salt, pepper, sugar, and oil are also provided. An eco-dry toilet and outdoor shower with hot water and views of the surrounding greenery provide the necessary intimate comfort. Biodegradable hand soap is provided. Bring your hiking boots or bike, or rent a 2CV or a Vespa nearby, because from 't Wijland you can take the most beautiful walks through forests and fields, always guaranteed to offer dreamy vistas. Restaurants abound, and at Lake Donk in Oudenaarde, you can enjoy water sports and an adventure park. The Flemish Ardennes are characterized by rolling hills, small picturesque villages, ancient spring forests, and numerous nature reserves. You'll find summer glamping 't Wijland in Schorisse (Maarkedal) between Oudenaarde, Ronse, and Brakel, just 35 minutes from Ghent and Kortrijk. Hiking junction 21 starts right at our doorstep. Hello, we are Lies and Morgan. A couple in love with each other and the wild, natural life. Here we live and work from our old farmhouse and we try to live in harmony with everything that surrounds us; plants, animals and people. We want to leave our place more biodiverse than how we found it. That is why we have transformed old meadows into beautiful flower meadows and we are busy building a food forest. We experiment with our perma-vegetable garden and wild picking, we delve into medicinal plants and ecological building techniques. Above all, we enjoy a life where authenticity, adventure, health and beauty go hand in hand.
We gladly open our place to those seeking silence and nature lovers. For anyone looking for re-energizing and connection.
We are available to our guests, but since we live and work here (therapy practice at home), we naturally expect respect for our own privacy.
Although we love animals and our beloved four-legged friends, we cannot accept dogs in the glamping tents or on the grounds. The chickens and ducks roam freely and we would like to keep it that way.
