About this location

Nature camper/campsite surrounded by nature on a secluded spot near De Koog on Texel. Find peace at the foot of the dunes.

Each time surprising and different in nature. A rabbit grazing peacefully nearby. Birds singing their most beautiful songs. You sit next to a quiet nature reserve duck roost "Korverskooi" making this private spot very special. Through the surrounding trees the first sun rays shine in the morning and enjoy the red glow in the evening.

From a covered shelter you can sit nicely out of the wind and enjoy the view of the dunes.

Municipality permits 1 camping unit (camper, tent, roof tent, or caravan) on this spot. So no extra loose tents on the grounds. A porch tent or awning is permitted.

The nearest beach is at post 21, where you can enjoy sun, sea and sand endlessly. Enjoy a meal at the beach pavilion or relax in a beach hut.

Want to enjoy to the fullest? Rent one of our beach huts (with discount) until the sun almost sets. Only 5 minutes cycling from the nature camper/campsite. Beach huts are available from late April to mid-September.

In case of a possible rain shower, the terrain remains easily accessible. The camping site is located next to the barn and open shed.
You look at the beautiful dune from the location. Unfortunately, the path that goes up is not accessible. This is used by the bird working group for research and nets are regularly hung out.
The path with the fence and sign duck decoy towards the decoy forest is also not accessible. This is managed by Staatsbosbeheer.

We are Marnix and Marleen and live with our family on Texel. Surrounded by beautiful nature with a quiet nature reserve and duck pond behind us. This nature area is not accessible, but there is a small path used by birdwatchers. If you walk or drive back up the driveway, you can head right into the dunes towards the cycling path to the Slufter and the lighthouse just beyond Cocksdorp. By bike you can enjoy the renovated cycling path to the Slufter and lighthouse. On the other side of the island you cycle towards the Koog and towards Ecomare and further to den Hoorn. We started this nature camping in 2022 after the May holidays and have already welcomed many guests. We are here for you and think along where needed and want you to enjoy this private natural place. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. We welcome you warmly to Texel.
