About this location

Welcome to the green! Our favourite spot between Nordhofen, Oberhaid and Mogendorf - in the valley of the small Saynbach in the Westerwald - offers you an idyllic retreat between meadows, forests and a babbling stream. Enjoy the view directly from the former riding ground by the horse stable onto forest & meadows.

The surrounding forest invites you to take relaxing walks and go on discovery tours. Put your feet up by the pond or watch the moles digging - pure meditation.

Despite the proximity to the A3, you can expect a quiet and secluded atmosphere in the Kannenbäckerland. Within 2 to 6 km you will find shopping facilities or can have meals prepared for you.

Explore the region with its numerous hiking and cycling trails or visit the nearby ceramic city of Höhr-Grenzhausen, known for its pottery art. Montabaur with its old town and the FOC are worth a visit.

We two run a farm with a guesthouse and campsite. Here we offer accommodation with breakfast, celebrations and seminars in the green. We breed Tyrolean Grey cattle and are a partner farm for suckler cow farming with Black Aberdeen Angus breeding programme in Germany. The farm has been in family ownership for generations and we love to share our green island.
