About this location

An idyllic riverside location along the Semoy, with a spacious pitch where you can settle comfortably and enjoy the calm of nature.

You will have views of the Semoy winding through the landscape and cascading between rocks. The sunset gilts its reflections. All around, a verdant setting—forest on the heights, a large oak by a small stream, wild hedgerows. Birdsong and the sound of water, blue dragonflies and flower colours, the warmth of an evening campfire or the cool of water on your feet on a warm day… A feast for the senses, a bath of tranquility.

Hiking (direct access on foot or easily accessible by car), cycling (green route at the edge of the terrain), kayaking (rental a few kilometres away), rock climbing (free-access site with your own equipment at Roc la Tour), fishing (with your fishing permit, on-site)…

There is only one pitch available at the moment, and our house is at the other end of the property. You will have independent access via a drivable track leading to the greenway (slow traffic). You can then park your vehicle on the upper, flattest part of the pitch and/or pitch your tent there. The pitch includes a table with benches shaded by waterproof awnings. Strings of solar lights provide soft lighting as night falls. Sanitary facilities: A wooden cabin at the entrance to the pitch houses your dry toilet and solar shower. You have access to a nearby outdoor water point to fill your shower bag before leaving it to heat in the sun and hanging it in the wooden shower cabin. If needed, you can also add water heated by a camping stove or wood fire. Please use natural soaps and shampoos whenever possible. Amenities: Guaranteed disconnection: virtually no cell phone signal and no Wi-Fi. The small kitchen unit includes a gas stove, a large insulated cooler, a water dispenser to be filled at the drinking water point, and a basin underneath to collect water from washing hands or dishes (to be emptied at the same water point). We also provide some utensils (a colander, a spatula and barbecue fork, as well as a grill for the campfire). A nearby freezer allows you to obtain ice packs to keep your food cold in the insulated cooler. A power outlet for charging your phone is also located there. A compost bin is available for disposing of garden waste, and a recycling bin is provided for packaging.
